The boutique 4-star Hotel do Canal is situated in Horta on Faial Island. It is just 100 metres from the beach and offers panoramic views of Pico Mountain and the bay. There was fresh fruit in our room, the staff were very kind and hospitable in every aspect! As we did not like the regular filter coffee at breakfast, so we were served quality coffee with no additional change. We stayed in the hotel for just one night but would like to come back for longer.

Set in a 16th century fortress overlooking Horta Bay and Pico island, this Pousada hotel features a swimming pool and regional restaurant. Most of the air-conditioned rooms have views of the marina. Breakfast was wonderful, with an abundance of choices offered. My knees were sore after some hikes and the staff was able to provide ice for me. We also were easily able communicate with the staff.

The location is very good with respect to all Govt. Offices, Local Transport, Taxies, Rent A Car, fuel Station, Sea Transport, Bicycle Stands, ATM Machines, Supper Markets, All kind of Shops for Shopping, Cafeterias, Restaurants, Parks, Beach, & Tourists Attractions. All these things are under the radius of 100 to 200 Meters or Maximum 300 Meters. The airport is 10 KM Away which is not much Far. It's Cool & Calm Area with Cool & Calm Accommodation with all necessary facilities. I simply recommend you due to its reasonable prices against all above mentioned. I will preferably book it again & again whenever I go to Horta.

We came to the Azores for our honeymoon and looked for a special place to stay. Alice's place was a great choice and exceeded our expectations. Firstly, the property is located in a beautiful location overlooking Mt. Pico and the view is spectacular. There is a small porch that overlooks the mountain and its a great spot to start the day with a cup of coffe and finish it under the stars with a hot cup of tea. The room was very clean, comfterable and the place had everything we needed (small kitchenette, wifi and laundry (that was amazing)). Moreover, Alice is a very kind and unique person and we are very glad we had the chance to meet her. We are extremely thankful to Alice for making our stay so comfortable and special - thank you for everything! We highly recommend this place :)
