Location opposite bus stop/harbour & Castle above was fantastic. Room on the front with amazing view of Harbour. Great high ceilings & a great feel about the room. You definitely knew you was at the seaside with the pictures on the walls. The castle was very impressive, climbed to the top, amazing views & would highly recommend it. Seating area outside looks inviting & especially in the evening sunshine. Stayed 3 nights & really enjoyed my stay thank you. Didn't hav the breakfast only because i'm always up at 5am & caught the early bus to explore St Helier & also one day I had the early ferry to Guernsey to catch. Great value for money stay at this hotel thank you

Location was wonderful - so picturesque - only downside was the occasional smell from the wrack in the harbour (it was quite strong!) Decor inside the hotel was very swish and the food was really good - for breakfast and dinner. Great choice of wines too. Lovely resident dog :-)

We really liked our room. Spacious, well equipped and clean. Perfect for access to the spa. Enormous bathroom with bath and walk in shower. Plenty of towels and shower gel etc. Coffee and tea making facilities and also iron/board. Air-conditioning also handy as weather quite warm during our stay. Spa was very nice with pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Plenty of sun beds indoor and out. Lovely changing facilities with all amenities.

On the east side of Jersey Gorey is very picturesque with great views of the castle and harbour. There are shops a short walk away in the village and a fish n chip shop. Pizza Quarter in Gorey is a particularly good place to eat. We did walk from St Helier but the buses are regular and convenient and not expensive, especially if you get a day pass. We particularly enjoyed : the Zoo, Elizabeth Castle, Corbiere lighthouse, the War Tunnels and the Jersey Museum was a good place to start. St Brelade's Bay has to be one of the most beautiful beaches in existence. If it rains there is also a cinema in St Helier. We didn't visit Mont Orgueil Castle in Gorey this time but it looks very good for younger children.

Great location. Excellent footpaths for walking.
Great location. Excellent footpaths for walking.
Mint Irgueil castle only minutes away by walking. Few hotel bars and restaurants.
Frequent, regular and reliable bus service to St.Helier about half an hour in duration. Good idea to buy a bus ticket pass that covers one for duration of stay as you can use any liberty bus(island’s public bus service) to go anywhere in the island from St.Helier.

Gorey is a peaceful haven in Jersey - a good mix of friendly locals and tourists. It has a relaxed ambiance and good sailing vibes. Recommend the excellent food at The Moorings (the chef is second to none!) and the local band at the Dolphin on Fridays and Saturdays is worth the trip!

It was very picturesque, lovely views, the castle was very interesting. Buses to various places nearby, beaches nearby, good food. Lovely harbour to visit and Gorey gardens along the seafront. Well worth a visit.
Advertised breakfast included which one expects a kitchen & diningroom. Neither, on arrival there is a notice that breakfast is a walk down the road at a local cafe so one has to que up with local workmen waiting for their breakfast. The picture of tables and chairs are from the bistro in the basement run by a different company nothing to do with hotel so they close on different days. Neither is there a bar as advertised. Trade Descriptions people should get involved, I would never have booked had I known this the description was false.
The staff member Ina was very helpful and friendly. She looked after us very well and spent some time telling us about the life on the Island and giving some tips on activities we could do.
The location was perfect. The JAAC premises are green and spacious. A few mins on foot to the sea! To earn the spectacilar view over the Gorey Bay and the castle, and to get back to JAAC we needed to climb up the hill and we enjoyed it every day.
The breakfast was fresh and in the form of a buffet, which we enjoyed.
Excellent location. Quiet but within easy access to the beach and some very good restaurants as well as the best fish and chips just opposite the hotel. Staff were so friendly and helpful. I needed access to the internet on my laptop and there was a problem connecting. (My laptop caused the problem not their internet). Staff were very helpful and kept checking that I had access.
Breakfasts were great with plenty of choice.
Restaurant serves a good variety of evening meal and good quality as well
Our stay at The Moorings, Gorey, was a luxurious and relaxing experience. Iselin and Matthew - and their team - were absolutely lovely. Our room had a view of the sea which was second to none. The room was beautifully decorated with attention to detail and comfort. The restaurant was top notch - atmosphere, food and service. Thank you for a memorable stay and experience.
I loved the location, it was right on a bus route which buses ran like every 10 minutes on weekdays to St. Helier. I could also walk to so many places as there were a lot of places to eat in Gorey. The staff was so helpful in assisting me in getting a taxi to the Durrell Challenge as well as to the airport.
Let's start to say it's great that a place like this still exists in Jersey. In an old manor, in front of beautiful Gorey castle, in a natural environment. The place has a nice mix of young and old guests. Nice friendly staff and the beds in our (twin bed private) room were very comfy. Great memories.
Fabulous hotel in an amazing location, right on the harbour at Gorey. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate us when we had to isolate while waiting for our negative Covid test results. Highly recommend, if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Jersey.
It is a fantastic place, not far away from Gorey Castle. (Note that if you come with Bus 2 it will be a nice but steep walk uphill. Take Bus 13 which stops nearby on the top of the hill.)
Don't miss the Faldouet Dolmen which is like 3 minutes by walk from the hostel and is a breath-taking site.
Lovely quaint hotel in a great location. Walking distance to Gorey Pier. The breakfast was really good, great choice and we ate in the restaurant one night it was excellent and good value. Lovely garden area to sit outside. Room was spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you

Stay was very comfortable and the staff was very good. There were plenty of games so you will not get bored during the stay even if you have no other plans
Will definitely recommend to stay here if visiting jersey.
The breakfast was great and silver service too. I haven't had that in 20 years and staying hotels 70 nights a year. Full 3 courses coffee, juice, cereals, fullenglish and toast etc. Crisp linen the lot
