Susi and Bruno are a super nice couple. Gave a very friendly and thorough welcome/check-in, and are very concerned about your wellbeing, wanting to provide the best possible experience. Susi shared a thorough and great itinerary upon request which was very helpful. Room is spacious and nice. Bathroom is also very nice and clean.

The team were so friendly and the coffee and breakfast was very much appreciated! Thanks for being so welcoming to our baby! The view from our room was beautiful and such a central location to lots of places on the island.
We ate at the Ozone Hotel twice for our evening meal.
We ate at the Ozone Hotel twice for our evening meal. Great food and excellent service. Cactis Cafe for lunch and the food was wonderful service great. Scrumptious Cafe for lunch, my husband liked it, me not really. Amanda's Cafe twice for take away for our evening meal. Hamburgers and fish and chips. Fantastic ice cream cone! Bella Cafe and Pizza Bar. We had pizza 2 nights (we chose take away) and wow, great pizza! We loved the cliff path walk. Reeves Point and Bay of Shoals are a must. I loved the gift shop too. I wouldn't bother with American River unless you are a fisherman with a boat or you love fresh oysters. I wish we had made the effort to make sandwiches a couple of days because on the island you could start looking like a hamburger. The Penneshaw Post Office was a delight to visit. Really lovely people. We bought a great map there too. The chemist two doors up is small but the girl there was really lovely. If you have a prescription to fill they send it up to Kingscote to the pharmacist to have it filled and returned to you. We went to a lot of the spectacular sights. Highlights were Dudley Wines, Raptor Domain just beautiful and very informative. Millie Mae's Pantry is a must in Penneshaw. We had a ploughman's lunch which was excellent. This cafe is a true gem. Parndana is a must to visit in the centre of the island. Great people and the cafe was wonderful. For people with young children they have a great park which is fenced and that is where you find the toilets.

Kangaroo island has amazing wildlife and beautiful scenery. We saw penguins, sea Liam’s, wallabies and kangaroos in the wild. fFlinders chase national park is amazing and the beaches are empty. The one drawback is that the dining options are limited

Walked into town from the property to the pub, Queenscliff hotel-good food.
Also went to local cafes and super market. Lots of shops shut as out of season (july) but still enough to enjoy a mooch around

Kingscote is a good base to explore KI. More time would be needed if you wanted to do the adventure stuff or family stuff. Visiting in late Autumn meant we were not interested in a lot of the water activities. Very pretty coastline.

We used Kingscote as our base and found it quite central to all the touring we did
Thought there would be more food outlets for dinner but we managed with what was on offer
There is a supermarket if we’d chosen to cook our own meals

Kingscote is the absolute heart of KI.
Kingscote is the absolute heart of KI. Has awesome Restaurants and Cafes (Amadios Vino e Cucina, the Ozone Hotel and So Sando) and is so close to some awesome wineries (Bay of Shoals and The Islander) and KI Spirits, not to mention the KI Brewery. Awesome anytime of year. Be sure to take a drive from the Esplanade seaside to Bay of Shoals, the views are stunning.
A great self contained unit which is very modern. Good standard of cleaning. Easy car park spot. Bed was comfortable (checked the brand, it met our standards!), as mentioned below, bedding should be 100 per cent cotton. The blinds do a great job of blocking out light. Fantastic inclusion of a Nespresso pod machine and the milk frother and generous inclusion of over 10 coffee pods. The location is very central and you are within walking distance of everything Kingscote has to offer.
Great location, heaps of space, well equipped with loads of utensils and crockery. The view was lovely and Kingscote is probably the best place to base yourselves for an island stay. Reservation Manager sent plenty of messages with ideas on what to do, even how to book ferry which worked out cheaper. Good value for money especially if travelling with a family as other places were a lot more expensive and didn’t provide self catering.
Great location, easy walk to centre of town, jetty, playground and boardwalk. I loved that all the little essentials were there. Such as oil, s&p for cooking. A delicious loaf of sourdough with condiments, coffee, tea, milk and cereal for breakfast. Even washing detergent, dishwasher tablets and laundry powder. It’s these little things that made it so much better than any other self contained stay we’ve had.
The location was right in Kingscote where we wanted to be. The apt was available which was good as we booked last minute. It was clean, had a place for the car. The kitchen was well stocked with plates etc. Appreciated the there was coffee and milk available when we arrived. The owner was responsive when we had questions and wanted us to be comfortable.
Our stay at Villas on The Bay in Kingscote was superb. The accommodations were generously spacious, impeccably clean, and wonderfully comfortable, with luxurious bed linens. Additionally, the location was fantastic, offering easy access to bars, restaurants, and the jetty, all within walking distance.
The hotel is in an excellent location, right on the beachfront. There are big windows in the restaurant and bar downstairs, which look out over the ocean. It was a great place to watch the sunset while playing pool. The room was a good size with a nicely renovated bathroom. Bed was comfortable.
The location was great, close enough to Kingscote for meals and other supplies. A very quiet spot on a no thru road almost adjacent to the waterfront. The rear deck area is well appointed and the front porch has great views for relaxing. The house had all of the things we needed in it.
Location was handy for tastings near Kingscote. It was also walkable into Kingscote.
The house was spacious and clean. The large square dining table was good for playing board games.
Beds were good. Fridge spacious. Dishwasher handy.
Close to central Kingscote with beachfront, tidal pool, restaurants and cafes, and supermarket nearby. Comfortable room, recently refurbished. Kitchenette was great, everything for morning breakfasts including crockery and cutlery.
What a beautiful and quirky place to stay. We stayed in the self contained cottage at the back accomadation and it was just perfect. Everywhere you looked around the premise there was something interesting to look at.
Great place to stay in Kingscote. Good hot water, great location, laundry in the room and a very helpful staff. They gave us a cot when I realized I booked the wrong room. They couldn't have been more helpful
Friendly and welcoming staff, dated hotel but room was clean and tidy, excellent shower with strong water pressure, fast internet, walk trails along the coastline in front of the hotel, daily housekeeping.
So close to Kingscote and the main roads to the rest of the Island. The park itself was very quiet and home to many kangaroos and birds, which was delightful. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility.
Fantastic holiday home. Extremely clean and comfortable with a lovely view over the ocean. The sunroom was our favourite place to relax. Short drive to Kingscote town centre.
Good location in Kingscote overlooking waterfront. located about 45 minutes drive from Penneshaw where the ferry docks. friendly staff and clean rooms. Definitely recommend.
Proximity to the main business centre of Kingscote while also affording great views across green space to the ocean. Very well equipped. Heating in every room.
