The hotel is situated close to the city center, and it's only a 15-minute walk away. It's also easy to find parking near the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Although the room is basic, it has all the necessary amenities, and it's quite spacious. However, despite the pictures showing a balcony, our room didn't have one.
Offering an outdoor pool and an indoor pool, Pousada da Serra da Estrela is located in Covilhã. Featuring panoramic views of the surrounding landscape this hotel provides free WiFi access.

Delicious evening meal. Clean pool and changing rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Two supermarkets within a few minutes walk. Shopping centre 15 minutes walk away.

The Hotel is great, calm and quiet Staff is friendly and supportive. Great breakfast. Good location to explore Serra da Estrela.
Superbly located in the Serra da Estrela Mountains with panoramic views over Cova da Beira valley, this mountain resort features a unique architecture with modern décor and an outside pool.
An amazing small city located on a mountain. The city is separated into an older part and a more modern part which is located at the lowest part of the mountain. The city has a plethora of murals and street art and you can download a dedicated application where you can find where all the murals are located and have a self-tour. The old part of town has amazing buildings and you can get lost by walking in the small traditional streets. The restaurants are of high quality and all the food we tasted was simply amazing. I will definitely be coming back :)

Unfortunately when we were there for a 3 night stay the weather was poor on two of the days so I might say the stay was too long. Didn't visit the city at the base of the mountain. The village where the chalets are situated was very quiet with not much going on, we spent most of the spare time in the hotel which was nice.

The Pousada is perfect for a relaxing break.
The Pousada is perfect for a relaxing break. The views are incredible. The service is very good, made to feel welcome. You need to drive back down the mountain for restaurants etc but the Pousada has everything you want. The air is fresh and all you can hear are the birds, superb.

A great city to use as a base to visit nearby mountains and go hiking. Also, if it's the right season for cherries, head to the market and get some. This area is home to the famous Cerejas da Gardunha you see in every supermarket in Portugal :)

O’Serrano de Repleto de Magia was fantastic for dinner!!!
O’Serrano de Repleto de Magia was fantastic for dinner!!! Covilha otherwise is a lovely, slightly sleep city in the off season filled with very friendly talkative locals. Free parking at the city square until December 2020 so that was great!

Very friendly people.
Very friendly people.
Usually we used to eat at the mall, but since it was locked down (it reopened monday the 1st June) this time we tried the pizzeria just in front of the mall and it had nice pasta and pizza.
We had lunch too at Manteigas, and it was great.
Yes, it is easy to get around Covilhã.
Even better than described, tidy and comfortable, with lots light and plenty of moving space, and a beautiful mix of vintage and newer furniture that work perfectly together. The Wi-Fi was good enough to work and join Zoom meetings without issue, and the beauty of the location in the middle of the old town can’t be beaten. The lovely host is ready to help and respond to any queries. Amazing stay, I would recommend anyone heading to Covilhã to give them a try!
It is a spacious apartment in Covilha. It has a large bathroom and bedroom. A cosy livingroom, great wifi and a balcony with a view to the town.
There are several supermarkets nearby.
You can park your car in the street in front of the apartment, sometimes you have to search for a parking spot but we managed it every time.
We didn't speak the owner, but it worked for us that we could enter the apartment with a code.
The wifi was great.
Very nice boutique hotel high up in the town of Covilha. It was very comfortable and I gave to say that the food was exceptional. My wife and I had one of the best meals that we can remember, the venison was superb. The only negative I Dan think of is that secure parking is not cheap but there us very little space so only a few vehicles can be accommodated.
Well above expectations quality to price, cleanliness, rooms, hospitality. Breakfast was fair and simple. Residential area near Covilha city; close enough for a bike or bus ride downtown and the city mall. It's on the main road, so I'll let that for the next section. SE orientation helps getting lots of sunlight from very early in the morning.
Courteous staff and a wonderful view of the city of Covilha and the valley from the room.
Comfortable stay in the middle of nature, especially charming at dawn - with the room window open, we were able to enjoy fresh morning air and wonderful sounds of birds.
The proximity to the National Park was perfect. We loved the villages of Belmont and Sortelha, both gems.
The hotel is uninspiring to look at , but has good public spaces. We had two evening meals which were lovely , not flash but nicely cooked food.
Liked everything, we always stay at Puralã when in Covilhã, such an excellent hotel, convenient for the City but not too close .
Excellent indoor pool for the cooler months, very nice outdoor pool for the long Portuguese summers 🥰
Fantastic stay, really enjoyed our time at the hotel. Only thing we would recommend is that each room has a small fridge to store some snacks. A small coffee nespresso machine in the room would also be great.
Our room was large with a great view! The gym was large and complete with a personal trainer on hand to help with machines. Easy access by car to the hotel which is well located for daytrips around the area.
Everything that you need for your short or long stay in Covilhã, with the purpose of leisure or work! The house is well equipped and with a great style sense. Very well located in Covilhã city heart.
Located in the cit center. Very clean room and the staff is remarkably polite and helpful.
The hotel is really great and the spa, gym and swimming facilities are clean and very nice.
Location was fantastic, especially the views. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen adequately supplied. It even had a coffee bean grinder. Pool at hotel was nice but costly.
The hotel looks good from the outside, the room is big but old, the parquet makes noise when you walk on it, the best lasagna I've eaten. The garden it’s beautiful
The location and the view around the hotel, the availability of the swimming pool and the breakfast is pretty much good, with different choice of food.
