Great town for passing through. The apartment was clean, spacious and we had a very good night of rest before hitting the road again. My friend said he had the best night of sleep since the start of our road trip. We walked up to the mountains and the views from there were lovely.

Beautiful location with picture postcard views. Very central and perfect for using as a base for further exploration. Everything was clean and very well organised. Breakfast was very nice, dinner was tasty and the staff were very pleasant..

Surrounded by mountains, Hotel Urirotstock is 6 km away from the A2 motorway and Oberalp Gossalp waterfall. It offers free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and terrace with beautiful views.

Great stay at Hotel Urirotstock. The village is perfect with stunning views of the mountains. Our room had a great little terrace where we could sit, breathe in the clean air and listen to the river below.
Breakfast was fresh and continental and the coffee was very welcome.
The restaurant had a good variety of meals and the portion sizes were definitely filling.
There is a bus that takes you down to the local town if the winding mountain drive does not take your fancy.
The trip down to the lake is a must with ferry options at the bottom of the road or in Fuelen a little further on.
What I liked the quite location.
What I didn't like, the payment wasn't handled by Booking.com . The management company charged our account twice for the property, we had to complain to them before they revised the second charge. Be aware of places that didn't use PayPal, or the ones they want to get your credit card details.
