Hotel a very pleasant surprise. Small, quiet privately owned hotel and we had a lovely view from balcony room. Even discovered a guest washing machine to use. Good choice of continental breakfast options. Heidi at front desk particularly charming and helpful and Guido shuttle driver very friendly. Enjoyed our 3 days touring in Wengen and surrounding Alp walks.
Located at the foot of the ski slopes, Historic Hotel Falken was one of the first hotels in the Jungfrau region. It offers a music room, a terrace and guided walks.

A beautiful, well run hotel with stunning views in an exceptional town. We were recommended this hotel by a friend and we were not disappointed. It is a comfortable walk from the train station and right around the corner (steps away) from an indian, asian and an italian restaurant. We had the very best Ramen in that tiny Asian restaurant. There are also many other traditional Swiss restaurants within the immediate vicinity.
The breakfasts at the hotel were lovely and the service friendly and attentive.
The walks around this town should blow your mind.
Having walked the town extensively we would choose this hotel again, upon a return visit.

Nicely appointed hotel at the top of a bit of a hill about 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Great views of Lauterbrunen below. A fine big breakfast room with plenty of choice for the buffet breakfast. Comfortable bed, with a nice front facing balcony with views of the town and Laurterbrunen.
The hotel will collect you from the train station if you advise them of your arrival time, which is a nice touch.

Beautiful small town without cars clogging the road.
Beautiful small town without cars clogging the road. Very easy to get around. It was a relaxing location that we used as a base for exploring the area. Went to Mira’s Steakhouse which was excellent and Ristorante Di Sina for Pizza. Avoid the train station in the early morning as it crowded as people are departing or coming in. This is also true for the Coop grocery store which is across from the train station.

This scenic mountain village offers incredible views of the Lauterbrunnen valley and surrounding landscape. The scenery alone makes the walk it takes to stroll along the hills of this town well worth it. Close to hiking trails, nature, and wildlife. While Wengen is a bit isolated, the train ride into the valley each day provides views that never get old. Wengen is still close enough to Interlaken where you will find trains heading in various directions for a day of exploration. A great base location for your trip, you will enjoy starting and ending your day in Wengen. (When booking your stay, consider exact location and be mindful that this is a mountain village with various slopes and inclines.)

I liked Wengen very much.
I liked Wengen very much. There’s a decent selection of restaurants and a few shops to browse around. It’s easy to get to and easy to get to Mürren and Grindelwald from. The scenery is stunning and everyone was very friendly. A great stay

Our first trip to Wengen and although it’s a trek to get there it is easy using Swiss rail network. Fabulous mountain village and benefits from being traffic free. The skiing was great although not extensive and other areas are a challenge to get to but enough above the town for a weeks casual skiing. Those who like to travel around may find it restrictive. There is one T bar lift to get back to Wengen if you traverse to Klein Schenigg which is a pain but you can either ski down to Wengen or take the train if T bars are not your thing ( not ours!). The town has a range or bars and restaurants but is peaceful. A few shops too selling ski wear, walking gear and Swiss stuff as you would expect. Local food shops are well stocked as well. We used the COOP mainly. They also sell firewood if your place has a log burner.
We went to ski but would love to go back in warmer times to trek as it looks fabulous!

Wengen was straight out of a postcard!
Wengen was straight out of a postcard! The town was charming and the views were second to none. The vacation was wonderful for us as a couple, but is also very family friendly. There were well behaved dogs with many of the visitors as well. I cannot wait to return!
The staff was welcoming and friendly. You could easily see that they were doing their bests for the comfort of the guests. Top notch service! We chose a room with the Jungfrau view and balcony, and are glad that we did that; such beautiful view. We had a coffee machine in our room with the capsules included. They also offer complementary hot beverages from the machine in the lobby throughout the day. The hotel is at awesome location; approx. 5 mins to the train station; has supermarkets, restaurants and pubs around.
Great Hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. Shout out to Monica at the reception who went above and beyond to help us.
The hotel itself is very clean and located in the beautiful town/village of Wengen.
The rooms had the most brilliant view and we could have easily spent our whole vacation in the balcony just looking over the Swiss alps.
The staff helped us transport our luggage to and from the train station (which is just a 10 min walk from the hotel).
Breakfast was good, and I will definitely return.
Great location near the main st of Wengen, right by the train station, especially handy if you have lots of luggage. The trains were very quiet and didn’t pose a problem. We took 1/2 board which was great value. Plenty of good food on offer. I would highly recommend if you’re on a tighter budget. Hotel a little dated but its location and facilities made up for it. The Spa was free for hotel guests and was a great addition. They provided luggage storage, again a great help .I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
This property is in such an awesome location with amazing views and the person at the front desk was great; he was very friendly and went out of his way to assist us. We stayed in a family suite with a queen bed downstairs and two twin beds in the loft. The room was great with a balcony and views on both sides. Waking up to falling snow and views of the snow capped mountains was amazing.
Also loved that the hotel is pet friendly and right next to the Wengen station.
The Hotel is ski-in ski-out and has the best terrace bar in town for après ski (sometimes even with live music). Facilities are simple, clean and functional and my room had the most perfect view to the mountains. Watching the sunrise and sunset from my balcony everyday was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The Hotel is owned and managed by Malika and her family, who are very nice, along with the exceptional staff.
The room was very spacious and the staff were so kind and helpful. The hotel is very close to the station which is helpful when you have a lot of luggage and it’s right in the middle of town with an amazing view of the mountains. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and the next time I come to Switzerland I will definitely be staying there again.
The hotel is located in an amazing place. Great views if you have the room with mountain view. I was skiing the whole day, but my luggage was kept save in a locker room and even I could take a shower and get ready for my way back home. Amazing
The staff is super friendly and they made sure nothing was missing. Recommend it with two hands 😁👌
Everyone is very friendly especially Daniel, you can get all the support you need. Nice view room. Restaurant is also very nice. I believe both hotel & restaurant are with high price ratio. You will not find another one on such cost level with such high service and quality. I will recommend to everyone who plan to visit Wengen.
Fantastic view from the room and hotel
Great location in Wengen, a bit away from the town so quieter but a bit of a walk uphill, harder with heavy luggages
Great service, staff very friendly and helpful
Breakfast has good selection, best thing was the fresh sweet orange juice and the juicer where you can make your own juice
This hotel far exceeded our expectations!!! We cannot wait to visit again in Wengen and would love to stay at this hotel again. Wish we had more time here!! This is one of the few times that the in-person experience exceed the photos of the property advertised! :) Also the staff were VERY friendly and helpful! 10/10 recommend!
The chalet was an ideal place to stay while our family was visiting the Wengen area. It’s a bit of a hike to the house, having to roll our luggage through the loose pebble path, but the directions given were great. Communication from the host was excellent, and the place was clean and well prepared.
The hotel is right opposite to the wengen train station(hardly 50 mtrs walk)..the room is clean and offers stunning view.. they also have a library with good collection of books that can be picked up for read..
We were at Interlaken, Grindewald, Lauterbrunnen, but none of those had such a magnificent view as this Hotel. Moreover, one of a few hotels in Wengen with such a view too. We will be definitely coming back!
Loved the town it was in. Wengen is charming and vehicle free.
The hotel is rustic and well maintained . It’s a family owned and run 5 generation hotel! Their restaurant is great and reasonably priced.
Beautiful hotel, amazing view of the mountains. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was a great size and the shower was awesome. The town of Wengen is very charming! Great breakfast included!
The hotel was wonderful. Breakfast was good. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable on hiking trials in Wengen. The location was perfect for train travel.
