Perfect location, right on the camino just outside Deba. I decided I make my 3rd day on the camino a little longer, in order to have more comfort than the pelgrims hostel and I made the right choice. The place is a 30min longer hike, but you skip that hill the next day, great! I had a room with a lovely sea view, the dinner I enjoyed (merluzzo) was delicious and the breakfast was great before starting the camino again. The staff was very kind, and they had a lovely atmosphere, being kind and easy going. I can definitely recommend this place for anyone and I would absolutely stay here again if I came back.

Excellent place to stay if doing the Camino Del Norte. It is about 100m just off Simon Bolibar Plaza in Ziortza-Bolibar (which is on the camino path). Never saw host as you self check in but they were very quick to respond and helpful when you message them. You are emailed the entry codes the day prior. Modern kitchen and living area with TV on ground floor. I had a 4 bed (2 × bunks) with own bathroom. Bed was comfortable and place was quiet through the night. Hot shower with good water pressure. Liquid hand soap provided. Linen was clean, and heating worked well. They have a credential stamp on the kitchen table. Used the correos service to have luggage transfered to and from and that went well. Had a very comfortable stay. Wifi worked well. There is quite a good Eroski supermarket in Markina across the road from the camino path- best to get groceries there as no store near accomodation and nothing else was open when I arrived and left (but I could see there were some food places but they weren't open). Some reviews mentioned getting food from vending machines at the accomodation but it only had a few drinks when I was there.

Hotel Villa de Ermua is strategically located next to the A8 Motorway, between Bilbao and San Sebastian. Each bright room offers a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom.

I had an amazing stay at Garaiko Landetxea. It’s a beautiful accommodation. Modern, comfortable and situated in a quiet town surrounded by nature and magical views of the mountains. On top of that, the staff was brilliant. Jasone and Irune are very kind and go the extra mile. I was offered to lend Jasone her mountain bike since I wanted to do some cycling. They also provided a very good dinner on my arrival date. The breakfast was great as well and is prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. I was given good recommendations for my day trip to Bilbao as well as recommendations for places to eat in Durango. It was simply perfect. Would love to come back in the future!

This place is super nice, with cozy rooms and a super friendly staff. You instantly feel relaxed when you enter the place. The staff was really helpful when we arrived to early. The place is really clean and also the breakfast is very enjoyable. The location is in a nice little village in the green mountains and convenient to explore the surroundings and Bilbao or San Sebastián.
