We spent one night here on our way to Costa Rica. We didn’t like the vibe at all. Bit of a hostile welcome, dirty pillows and too many stray dogs following us. Dog mess everywhere. Had a balcony which was a bonus.

Very quiet location. Comfortable, clean room. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and busses to all ends of the country. Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. Great little comedor on site for a good value, tasty breakfast.

Maria doesn't really speak english, but she definitely trys hard to make you feel comfortable! Also, the food is really good, you have to try the filete del pescado & banano con leche! We did not meet too many other backpackers in the 4 nights we stayed but nevertheless worth a visit.

The host was extremely helpful and she even took me in her motorbike at night both ways in the middle of the night to a laundry placeacross the island just to save me the hassle of going by bus in the morning
