Review of Amani Paje Hotel We really enjoyed our stay at Amani Paje Hotel. One great point is that the check-in time is at 12:00, so we could arrive early and enjoy the beach right away. The room was excellent – clean, organized, and spacious. There were plenty of power sockets on the walls, and a kettle to heat water for coffee or tea. The bathroom was very clean and smelled fresh, with hot water in the shower. The bed sheets were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of fruits, coffee, juice, pancakes, cakes, muffins, scrambled eggs, and fried eggs. The staff was fantastic – the Italian manager communicated very well and she explained everything in detail, and the rest of the team was friendly and supportive. I truly recommend Amani Paje Hotel. Thank you!

This is an amazing place. Not only the facilities ( highly recommend a delux room) but the service and attitude of staff is so friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Ester, GM Mr Eric for the hospitality and for going beyond our expectations. Thank you also to Ismail and Moana who arranged fun program ( watergym, swahililessons, villagetour etc). I recommend this place warmly and will surely visit again.

I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is extremely well-kept, clean and pleasant with lots of palm trees, bushes and plants on the premises what made a big impression on me. The hotel takes care of the beach in front of the building and regularly cleans it from seaweed - this deserves praise. The rooms are cleaned twice a day. It was certainly the most luxurious hotel we stayed in on Zanzibar. The area around the hotel is quiet and safe but just a few minutes walk along the beach is enough to reach the more entertaining part of the area where there are plenty of restaurants and pubs. As for the restaurant and bar in the hotel I have to admit that the prices are very high. The drinks and food are very good but I think that 14-16 dollars for a cocktail is a bit too much. But as I mentioned if someone does not want to pay so much there are many restaurants and pubs near the hotel with lower prices. But overall I really liked the hotel and would love to go back there.

I absolutely love this location, it is perfect, at high tide the stairs, leading to the beach from the property are covered in water, at low tide, you have super soft sand to walk to the sea which is just a few metres away. Great swimming location. And everything that you need is in the apartment including an ice cold fridge. If you don’t feel like cooking , there is a restaurant next door with good value food and drinks. There are many other restaurants further on the beach if you feel like walking 15 minutes on the beach, including a very nice pizza place. All in all, I would highly recommend staying here and would stay here for the whole Zanzibar time and make this my base in the future. If it’s still available, just book it

We stayed in a bungalow right on the beach at Kivuli Hotel in Paje Beach, and it was truly an incredible experience. We would absolutely recommend this hotel, mainly because the location is unbeatable. Thanks to the bungalow, we had so much privacy and peace. The hotel is centrally located—just a 3 to 5-minute walk along the beach, and you’re right in the heart of the lively Paje Beach area. It was perfect for us because we were a bit more secluded, which meant we could really enjoy the quiet and relax. There were fewer people directly in front of our bungalow, making the beach experience even more special. The bungalows were spotless, and the bed was beyond comfortable—I’ve honestly never slept in such a cozy hotel bed before! The bungalow had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was also good. As for the service, the staff was always very friendly and eager to help. However, there were a few items missing from the dinner menu at times, and we would love to see more vegetarian options added. Also, the service was a bit slow, but we soon realized that’s just part of the relaxed vibe in Zanzibar—Hakuna Matata! Overall, if we return to Zanzibar, we would definitely stay at Kivuli Hotel again. The privacy, the peace, and the dream of waking up right on the beach made it an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended!
