Joana is an amazing host that ensures that her guests get the best possible stay at her guest house located high up on the hillside. The rooms are incredibly cozy that fits really well into the town's atmosphere. In the morning she prepares traditional Albanian breakfast, enjoyed with the beautiful view over the mountains and Gjirokaster castle. Highly recommend to stay here!

Kerculla Resort is located at the top of Gjirokastra, 16 km from Antigona, 52 km from Saranda, 65 km from Butrinti and 36 km from Syri i Kaltër ( Blue Eye ) ! Although hotel is quite far away from old town, but the view, comfort and facilities overweighting this. A plus is very good restaurant with great view, impecable service and cuisine. Breakfast was good as well.

Nice traditional design elements in an otherwise very modern and comfortable room. The old town is a short (and steep) walk away. We enjoyed the walk and it was nice not having to drive through the narrow cobblestone streets.
