The barrier-free eduCARE Hotel in Treffen is a 10-minute walk away from the banks of the Ossiachersee Lake. It offers a restaurant with a garden terrace and free Wi-Fi. The hotel was easy to find--centrally located on the main road. Our room was modern, clean, and comfortable. The air conditioning actually worked, I was so thrilled (the other hotels on our trip had advertised air conditioning that didn't really work after all)!! The AC was fully adjustable in our room, so I sat there on the bed like a penguin that sits under the snow machine in the exhibit at the zoo; it was heaven. The breakfast was SO GOOD. Americans, this place had the crispiest bacon I have ever seen on the European continent. On our way to and from our room, we passed through a game room with foosball and pool tables, so naturally I challenged my husband to a game of pool (I won). There was on-site parking, and the connecting restaurant was also fantastic--we had dinner there. Our room also had a balcony which was nice. When we mentioned to the front desk upon checkout that we were going to the lake on our way out of town, they gave us a coupon so we wouldn't have to pay to go to the public beach.

Situated in Villach in the Carinthia region and Fortress Landskron reachable within 2.8 km, Appartement am Ossiachersee features accommodation with free WiFi, a children's playground, a private beach... The building where the apartment is is located close to the lake (ca. 100 meters) and castle Landskron (ca. 1.5 km). If you have a bike, in one day, you can visit the castle (an MTB bike is welcome) and make the 28 km circle around the lake (Ossiacher See Cycling Tour - R2 and R2A). The apartment is renovated, comfy, and cozy - you can find all the kitchenware you need if you plan to do your own cooking. Besides, the owner left for visitors free coffee pads (there's also the coffee machine) and tea bags. Really nice welcoming gesture :) Also getting in contact with the owner who handled the keys was fast and simple. Plus, you get to park for free in the building garage - or outside the building if you prefer. If I summarize, it was a great experience.

Set in Ossiach, 11 km from Fortress Landskron, Fischerstüberl offers accommodation with a private beach area, free private parking and a garden. Host of this guesthouse is Sandra, who is really customer oriented, kind and helpful person, thanks for her! The location is excellent, very ideal for hiking, going to different programmes every day (Gerlitzen Alpe, Villach Alpenstrasse, Pyramidenkogel, Nockberge, etc). We had a nice view from the room to the lake and Gerlizten alpen mountains. Worth to buy the Karinthen Card (you can buy at the host), it is really great.

Located in Latschach ober dem Faakersee, 8.8 km from Waldseilpark - Taborhöhe, Gasthof Martinihof provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. We had great time in Gasthof Martinihof. The room was clean, spacious with cool temperature. There were some farms animals and herb garden. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and always ready to help. The location of the property was excellent for us. It was in the mountains with beautiful views and not too far from the Faak am See lake. You will need a car though to get to the property, lake and move around. Over all great experience, do recommend it.
