Hostal Alcalá Del Jucar is set by Jucar River. The air-conditioned guest house features free Wi-Fi and impressive views. Each modern room with colourful details offers a flat-screen TV. From the very first contact, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, with a big balcony and a second glass door. It was safe and secure. Check-in is simple, breakfast is good, and the location is perfect. It's easy to access by car or foot, and there are cafes and supermarkets within a minute's walk. I think it's a lot simpler to access than staying on the other side of town, with the steep, narrow laneways. It's still an easy walk to the castle. Highly recommended.

Featuring free WiFi, Apartamentos Massò offers modern, air-conditioned apartments in the centre of Albacete, 200 metres from San Juan Bautista Cathedral. Private parking is available on site. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful - I arrived a few hours earlier than the check-in time but was allowed to check in with no issue as the apartment was ready. I also had a minor issue with the hairdryer that was very quickly resolved! The apartment was lovely and new, extremely clean and had everything you would need. The Nespresso machine with free pods was a nice bonus. The roof terrace is also lovely - and also has free coffee as well as an honesty bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There is a daily cleaning service just like in a hotel, but also you can place a do not disturb sign on the door if you prefer. The bed was very comfortable, though the pillow was a little thin. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Albacete.

We cycled off the Via Verde to stay at this special place: an old mill renovated into a few guest suites. The friendly and helpful owner was a very talented metal worker who had put his artistic touches everywhere on the property including the conversion of old wooden mill pieces into furniture. It was a chilly, spring afternoon and our host brought a load of wood and started a cozy fire for us. The entire property was beautiful with many scenic areas to sit and relax outside.
