The location was fabulous, so close to everything and with views of the amazing and beautiful monastery from the balcony windows and only 50kms from Madrid! The room was huge with kitchen facilities and everything was extremely clean and comfortable! The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful with information on San Lorenzo de El Escorial...things to do and see, restaurant suggestions, etc. While you're there also visit the incredible 'Valley of the Fallen'...if you're not driving, the hotel will organise a taxi to take you there and back, so easy and convenient! It was great to relax in 'San Lorenzo Suites' and this tranquil town for a few days before travelling on.

Located in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, Luces del Poniente is a boutique-style hotel, just a 10-minute drive from the Puerto de Navacerrada ski resort. The place was very nice and quiet. The room was very good, clean and comfortable. The food was amazing, they had lots of gluten free options (like gluten free bread). The staff was lovely and really nice.
