Loved the trees and gardens. Mary was very welcoming from the home made bread to the honey straight off the honeycomb for breakfast! Next time we will do one of the foraging courses!

An ideal base from which to explore the beautiful surroundings of Carlow, Seven Oaks 4 star Hotel is a welcoming hotel, ideally located just 5 minutes walk from Carlow Town Centre. The staff exceeded my expectations, always a smile, allowed us to stay in the dining room after closing as we met family. They served us in the living rooms/parlors. Food and bar service was excellent. reception assisted us with cab service and alerted us when the cabs arrived. We were delighted to learn our room was ready upon our arrival at 2 pm, especially since we had a family reunion to attend 30 miles away. The shower / tub had safety/ grip bars. towels were plentiful. Excellent hotel.

Within 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxurious hotel and spa boasts an 18-hole championship golf course and a 20-metre swimming pool. I was hopeful but cautious because I'd read very mixed reviews before we went. But honestly our three nights were absolutely fantastic, the perfect rest. I can't wait to go back. The food was exceptionally well cooked with a good range of choices. The staff (especially in the dining room) could not have been more friendly, professional and personable. It went beyond what I had hoped for and I have bookmarked Mount Wolsley as a perfect getaway and retreat.

In the Heritage Village of Leighlinbridge, just 10 minutes from Carlow and 20 minutes from Kilkenny off the N9, the Lord Bagenal has been renowned for award-winning food and wine. I stayed here on short notice for work and the hotel was amazing. I had no idea that the town even existed before booking, but the location was amazing. A lovely little town right on the River Barrow which includes a medieval castle and beautiful bridge. The hotel was very well managed with beautiful artwork and fresh flowers on display. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. The restaurant has a great menu and the breakfast was cooked to order. Some of the nicest food I've had in a long time. I will 100% be back.

Situated in Oldleighlin, in a historic building, 12 km from Leinster Hills Golf Club, Carey's Bar & Farmhouse Kilkenny Border is an apartment with a terrace and bar. We loved the spacious and private quarters.
