Drove down from Derry stayed here as it was close to GAA grounds that we had a game at. Owners where lovely and friendly. Nice wee friendly bar just two mins up the road, they had great facilities including darts board that we all had use off and not forgetting the 1st class breakfast! Unreal! Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Shamrock Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel located in the very centre of Ireland, just 5 minutes’ walk from the restaurants, bars, and nightlife of Athlone town... Rooms are enormous. Quiet, great location, big free parking space upfront. They were ready for a group check-in, all prepared so it took us less than 5 minutes for the whole group. Fantastic food, very affordable dinners.
