Quite a few restaurants around and easy to get around. We visited the Samurai house and the Kenroku-en garden. We bought a one day pass to get around. The city was very quiet and not as stressful as Tokyo. We were recommended a nice sushi restaurant by one person in the reception. The restaurant, Cho-hachi, was on the way to the station from the hotel.

Offering views of the Sai River, Yuyaruru Saisai’s spacious Japanese-style rooms have an LCD TV and a private bath. Lovey authentic traditional ryokan with rooms tastefully appointed. Excellent Japanese style breakfast with excellent coffee, toast, butter Location was a 15 minute walk from a main shopping area. Plenty of restaurants to choose from

Our stay here was absolutely heavenly. We had such an amazing time from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. The baths were stunning and really clean. We particularly enjoyed the rock bath. It is about a 25min taxi ride to most of the sights and attractions in Kanazawa. That didn’t bother us because really enjoyed the serene and private feel of being further from the city, but something to keep in mind. Also, I was blown away by the meals and by how fresh all of the food was. If staying here, definitely attend the breakfasts and dinners at the hotel. It almost had the feel of a Michelin star restaurant.

The staff gave the most unbelievable welcome and warm hospitality throughout our stay. The property is stunningly beautiful - the garden with its pond and carp (which you can feed if you’re in the right room!), the outdoor onsen with a stunning view of the waterfall and the interiors were stunning. The food at dinner time was so memorable and beautifully presented. The lounge area with a plentiful supply of drinks and snacks was a lovely touch of class. We also were upgraded to a room with a private bath and a balcony overlooking the garden and pond.
