Featuring 4-star accommodation, Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura is located in Kamakura, 1.3 km from Yuigahama Beach and less than 1 km from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. The location right next to the start of the causeway with a torii-gate to Hachimangu and less than a 5-minute walk to the station makes it a perfect location for sightseeing. The rooms are large for Japanese hotels and very thoughtfully arranged. The front desk folks are helpful, attentive, and polite. As a runner I run even when drizzling and wanted some newsprint to stuff in my shoes, but they offered a shoe dryer (small device with two nozzles and heated air). I'd never seen one before, and it worked like a charm. The lobby is spacious and a good place to congregate for an early morning coffee and browse the print newspapers, including an English-language paper. It was my second time staying at the Metropolitan, and, if possible, I'll be back!

Offering free WiFi throughout the property, Hotel Metropolitan Kawasaki is set in Kawasaki, 6.2 km from Omori Hachiman Shrine and 6.4 km from Showa no Kurashi Museum. Even though this hotel is not in central Tokyo it's right by the station. The trip to all our attractions only took a maximum of 30 min. There are loads of restaurants and shops. The room was a good size and the washing machine room was a good addition.

Featuring a terrace with views of Lake Ashi, Hakone・Ashinoko Hanaori offers a soothing hot spring bath and sauna. The property is situated a 2-minute walk from Togendai Station on Hakone Ropeway. Stunning location. The lake view was breathtaking and the private Onsen was incredibly relaxing and serene. The included breakfast and dinner were a nice touch.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. This has to be one of the greatest experiences I've ever had in a resort or hotel. The location is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are super spacious and clean. The tubs on the balcony are lovely, the beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and super impressive, catering to both Japanese and Western cuisine with the most incredible wide selection I've seen. Dinner was absolutely fantastic, with both the courses and the seafood buffet being exceptional. Among all the hotels I've stayed at, this place has the friendliest staff, catering to your every need. They offer a free shuttle bus to Gora Station as well as free ice cream from the vending machines. They have two onsen: one with an infinity pool and a fantastic view, and a garden one with a beautiful waterfall. I cannot recommend this place enough; we had the most fantastic stay ever.

In the heart of the Minato-Mirai area, just a minute's walk from Minato-Mirai Station, The Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu offers spacious rooms with a balcony, spectacular views of Minato-Mirai and free... Our room was ready when we arrived early and so it was wonderful to be able to check straight in. The room was incredible and exceeded our expectations for size, comfort and view. We arrived via Shinkansen and Minatomirai Line, directly into the hotel from Queen's Square, which also has good restaurant options. We left for Haneda Airport the following afternoon on the bus directly from the hotel having spent a day in the area on foot. It couldn't have been more convenient for out last night in Japan.
