The couple that owns it are so lovely, they picked us up from the bus station and made us feel completely at home the whole time. The location is also perfect and the safari was fantastic, we would definitely stay again.

Boasting a spa and wellness centre and views of garden, Hasthi Safari Cottage is a recently renovated guest house set in Udawalawe, 16 km from Udawalawe National Park. The Cottage is situated in a quite location but is still very close to the center. The shower was beautiful and also the garden area very nice. Food was great and also the host was very friendly and helpful with safari and daytrip bookings.

With river views, Silent River Cottage is set in Udawalawe and has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. It is situated 16 km from Udawalawe National Park and features room service. Beautiful setting and Amila and his family were so kind and helpful. Food was delicious and very generous. They organized Safari for us with a picnic and good driver to pick us up and for safari. Would highly recommend!

Set in Udawalawe, 20 km from Udawalawe National Park, Vimanra Udawalawa offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The owner was wonderful and helped us arrange everything from tuktuks to a great safari guide. We really enjoyed how quiet the environment is and it's easy access to the national park.

Ibis is located in Udawalawe and features a pool with a view and garden views. We are Paola and Silvano from Italy, travelling through Sri Lanka by bicycle. We spent three nights at Ibis and were welcomed by Sarangha as if we were family. Sarangha and her husband Sarath are very kind and helpful people, always smiling. Sarangha took care of us with grace and kindness, always ready to respond to every need, from the tuk tuk to the safari. The most important thing is that she told us that she could organize it for us at a good price (excluding the entrance ticket to the park) but without any obligation, initially we did not want to organize it and instead, after visiting the Elephant Transit Home, we changed our minds, it was an excellent choice and also the person who accompanied us was kind and trustworthy. We also had dinner at Ibis, very tasty home made meals and also a good breakfast. The room was confortable clean and spacious, we chose the one at ground floor, but there are also at the first floor with balcony. We also could do the laundry. We didn't use the pool, but it's very scenic and relaxing even if you don't want to swim. We also had some time to talk with Sarangha and Sarath and it was really interesting share some experiences with this lovely family. Thank you very much for everything!

Atha Safari Resort offers a hot tub and beauty services, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Udawalawe, 50 km from Tangalle Lagoon. Beautiful and clean property. Felt like home. He organized the safari, the driver was a great guide. Lots of animals to see and lots of elephants. The owner is very kind. Definitely one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended for a few days getaway
