The staff, ***especially Anne (owner) and Amal, were exceptional,they arranged a safari to Yala Block 6 (just 10 mins away!) where we spotted elephants and leopards. The **food was a highlight**: authentic Sri Lankan curries and Western options, all served in an open-air dining area. Don’t miss the **sunset boat ride on the lake**—pure magic! Absolutely amazing experience with Nehansa Resort. The owners shown us very special attention, they took us from the bus stop, organised a special little tour for us to see the sunset and birds, gave us great recommendations what to do around, helped with the laundry very quickly:) When we came at the reception they welcomed us with fresh coconut juice, so I can definitely say that their service is of the highest quality. We took safari tour with them, only the best recommendations as well. The room was very clean and cosy, it had AC and all the other things needed. The area around is beautiful, there is a cosy garden around the room. At the resort they also suggest a lot or food options for decent prices. Whenever I’m back to area,I will come here.

Great location if you are looking for quiet and nature Amazingly friendly and warm family who runs the place Comfortable bed and pillows Good food I booked this place very last minute on my way from Ella towards the beaches in the south. So far it has been my best stay in Sri Lanka. The hosts were very kind, I got to fish in the lake for a few hours and we ate some of the fish for dinner after. They helped arrange a Safari for me. I only wish I stayed longer but was running short on time to squeeze in a few more towns before I leave Sri Lanka. I forgot a shirt that was gifted to me in the room and the family is sending to me in the next town over, very kind of them as the item hold a lot of sentimental value. Anyone looking for a quiet nature area where you can observe many birds and aquatic wildlife will absolutely love this place!

We stayed 1 night here before our safari in Yala. The owners kindly helped us organise our safari and when we got back they had a delicious and very generously sized breakfast waiting for us. Would recommend this place to all.

Owner made sure we had a breakfast packed for a very early departure (0430), and allowed us to quickly change and wash up before departing after our safari experience. Best deal I have ever had for a night’s stay. Very clean and roomy and comfortable!

Offering a restaurant and free bikes, MOON LIGHT Guest House is located just 1.1 km from the Tissamaharama Bus Station and 3.2 km from the beautiful Tissa Lake. This place is great, especially for the price. The rooms are large and clean, and the surrounding area is peaceful. The owner and his family go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay and can coordinate a private or group safari tour to Yala National Park which includes the entrance fee, food, drinks, & driver/guide. After a full day safari, we had dinner at the homestay with amazing flavor and large portions (same with breakfast). 10/10 recommend staying here.
