We had an apartment room with 2 balconies (double aspect views) on the top floor of the new block in the main building (where there is also the reception and shop). There was a building in front of us, but nevertheless, the views from our room were amazing. The room set-up (with small kitchen unit, seating area, dining area, bed area, 2 balconies, large windows and separate bathroom) was excellent. It was a nice quiet room with a comfortable bed. The receptionist was very friendly and helped us with the door code. Parking was easy, next to the apartments.

The rooms were very nice, the restaurant was excellent, and it was clean and well maintained. It’s definitely worth paying a little bit more for it!

We spent 10 nights in 10 different properties in Norway and this one by far had the best amenities. All cookware you could need were provided, cupboard groceries were also available and the apartment itself felt cozy and vibrant. We could have easily stayed an entire week here. I even managed to bake the best brownie of my life! The host was also very understanding when we had forgotten something in the property after leaving.

It takes less than 15 minutes to walk to Bryggen, and there is a good supermarket (Kiwi) along the way. The most important bus lines run through an avenue that is less than a block away. For example, I used a local car rental company that gave me a significant discount for picking up the car in Nesttun. I got on a bus that pretty much took me there door-to-door. Despite its proximity to Bryggen, the area is quiet inviting to a nice rest. Sandviken is a pretty neighborhood, and you should not miss the view from Sandvikenpilen. Regarding the apartment itself, we liked the social areas, the well-equipped kitchen, the main room, the bathroom and the convenience of the laundry.
