Situated only 4 minutes’ walk from central Ohakune, The Central Motel & Lodge features an outdoor hot tub. All studios and apartments include self-catering facilities and electric blankets. It felt very clean and safe. All well looked after and shower was great. Had a nice view to the mountain 👍

Bernie and Marie were absolutely delightful hosts and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The property is conveniently located near to the various activities in the area, which made travelling to and from a breeze! Breakfast was also amazing, and with sheep and alpaca at the property as well, I can’t recommend this stay more!

Boasting a garden, shared lounge and views of garden, Manuka Lodge B&B is located in Ohakune, 18 km from Turoa. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. I loved the modern, luxe feel of the entire property. Our room was very, very clean. The bed was comfy and we had all the amenities we needed. The hosts, Alan and Susie, were kind, engaging, and welcoming. They made us feel right at home!

The staff was very understanding and when there was a problem with our booking they upgraded us in order to resolve the problem. Very friendly and very good restaurant.

We loved our stay - The room was spacious and it was great to sit on the deck on an evening. The breakfast options were plentiful and available to take at whatever time suited us on a morning. We especially loved using the hot tub after a long day's hiking.

The Powderhorn Chateau is situated in Ohakune, at the entrance to Tongariro National Park. Entire facility is 5-star and beautifully maintained. Love the natural wood throughout and the style the complex has been built in. Staff and restaurant were excellent. Had a swim in the fantastic basement pool. Level 1 deck was stunning with a glass or two of wine in hand!
