Everything was great from start to finish. The hotel is less than five minutes' walk (literally) from the train station, and when I got there I was surprised by the overall high quality. "Near the station" is often a red flag, but here one feels immediately safe, with families on the street even at night, probably due to the nearby mall. The room was just the right size, and came with a medium-size (not mini) refrigerator and a fan. The shower had nice hot water and very good pressure, and the toilet was perfectly clean. The staff was extremely polite and very very helpful, providing tips and indications, holding my luggage in safety when I had to leave it in the hotel after check-in, and calling a taxi for me when needed. The bar/restaurant is open until late (maybe all night?) and the breakfast was perfectly good - nothing spectacular but more than enough. Then again, amazing breakfasts can be had at Tacna marketplace, just a few blocks away, so the breakfast here had no need to be anything special! Another thing is that when I arrived, I paid for my booking immediately and the amount I paid was precisely what had been agreed to online, not a cent more. I say this because I often see alerts of hotels in Tacna charging more than it was decided upon online booking, probably due to local taxes, but in this case nothing like that happened and everything was perfectly ok. In general I highly recommend this hotel, especially for those arriving on the scenic Arica-Tacna train. The quality I found here was worth well over what I paid! Five stars!

Located only 3 blocks from the main square, Hotel La Mansion offers accommodations in Tacna. Free WiFi access is available and guests are served a complimentary buffet breakfast. The staff was very kind and nice specially both girls at the reception. The location is good since it's close to the main touristic attractions. The breakfast buffet was very good. WiFi was perfect.
