The photos and descriptions don’t do this place justice. Located in a quiet valley half an hour’s walk (or a short drive) from Ollantaytambo the Las Qolqas Eco Resort by far exceeded our expectations. The friendly and helpful staff helped us with all our questions and requests, alongside the manager and the owner of the hotel. They also recommended a Machu Picchu guide for us (Porfirio - charming and very knowledgeable) and helped us with transportation to and from the train station to get to Machu Picchu (included in our room rate). The food on site is excellent, as are the drinks. There are fireplaces in each cabin which they’ll light for you at your request. You can admire hummingbirds from the comfy chairs on your veranda while you can hear the birds chirp and the sounds of the nearby river. We also did a lovely 2hr hike (each way) on an Inka Trail to the nearby Pumamarca Ruins which was amazing and we didn’t see any other tourists the whole way - a great way you get away from the masses. Las Qolqas was easily our favourite place we stayed at in Peru.

Great hotel with a stunning garden and excellent facilities. The atmosphere is incredibly calm and relaxing. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food at the restaurant was delicious! I highly recommend it.

A blend of traditional architecture and contemporary interiors, this boutique hotel is framed by charming flowered gardens and an Andes Mountain backdrop. It is a 90-minute drive from downtown Cuzco. We upgraded to the room with a comfortable King sized bed. The room and bathroom were spacious with plenty of storage, breakfast was nice, owners were wonderful and helpful, shower with hot water, quiet neighborhood 5 min walk to center. We loved staying here and actually came back after our trip to Macchu Picchu. Highly recommend. Thank you! Bonus--playful dogs (they only come if you call them).

Such a beautiful property. We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is lovely - serene and calm and the perfect place to stay for Sacred Valley. The gardens are very peaceful and quiet Our room was great - large and really well appointed and very relaxing. The breakfast was fantastic - lots of choice and the Spa was fantastic. The gym is also excellent. The team were all very good but a special mention to Andres, Luis, Wally and Diana who took great care of us and delivered exceptional personalised service. I had a treatment at the Spa with Yesica who was also fantastic .

Food was delicious. Also transportation from airport to hotel was included with the stay. We asked for massages and the owner got someone in less than an hour. She massaged us three back to back, which was the best. We also got a driver to drive us around the town and to see pisac ruins which the hotel owner arranged for us. The hotel is near by the Urubamba train station,like 10minutes away so I booked our Machu Picchu train from there.

Welcome to AVA Valle Sagrado Spot. Located literally in the belly button of the world, between the Andes Mountains and real close to the city of Cusco, lies Urubamba within the Sacred Valley. Staff were super nice and helped with any issue we had. Everything super clean!
