Situated in Castro Verde, 49 km from Carmo Church, Vistas - Herdade do Zambujal features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. It was an idyllic place. Beautiful views, a really smart room, calm and peace prevailed. Impressive architecture and setting, perfect to relax after some busy touring to Mertola and Serpa, enjoyed it all. To cap it all, the food and drinks served were excellent. Owners and staff excellent. We'll be back, this stay was too short.

Located just 22 km from Carmo Church, Casa da Estalagem - Turismo Rural provides accommodation in Ervidel with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as luggage storage space. What a gem! We were nicely surprised. All facilities that you could need. A comfortable bed. Spacious,nice host, cosy... the host was very friendly, she accommodated all our needs, and even prepared breakfast for us in advance as we left very early. Hopefully one day we will come back. Set 44 km from Estación de La Nava, Parque de Natureza de Noudar offers air-conditioned accommodation with a patio. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking. Truly amazing place. Lovely walks and true silence and if you’re into stargazing it really excels … make sure you check the moon phases if you’re into deep sky observing as half a moon will wipe most deep sky objects out. We waited for the moon to set at 01:30 which was well worth it. The photos don’t do it justice it’s a very picturesque and atmospheric establishment. Plus it has about a million Soprano Pipistrelles living in the roof of the main building that come out for dinner as you are having yours on the terrace. Absolutely amazing experience. Great food and great staff. Highly recommended for something different.

Herdade dos Grous is a secluded country estate spread across over 1700 acres. Stayed there for two nights of our European trip, to relax between visits to busy cities. Beautiful property and luxurious room. Welcome fruit, wine and pastries were a good surprise.
