From the moment we arrived at Niehku Mountain Villa, I was captivated by its unique design and welcoming ambiance. Nestled in the spectacular Riksgränsen, the villa offers breathtaking mountain views that make the winter morning special. The architecture, inspired by local heritage, blends seamlessly with the environment, creating a luxurious yet cozy experience. The staff at Niehku were not just friendly but genuinely attentive, making sure every detail of our stay was perfect. The rooms, though not large, were elegantly designed, providing all the comforts one could ask for after a day in the mountains. The sauna, with its panoramic views, was a highlight, offering a serene way to unwind. Dining at Niehku was a culinary delight; the menu focused on local ingredients, with dishes that were both hearty and sophisticated. The wine selection was equally impressive, perfectly complementing the meals. Simply relaxing by the fireplace after a day in the mountain was such a nice experience. What stood out was the personal touch in every aspect, from the bespoke adventures to the warm, home-like atmosphere of the villa.

Please note that bedlinen, towels and departure cleaning are not included in the rate of Cottages, Quadruple rooms, Family rooms and dorm beds. It’s a perfect place to stay. The only downside and it’s not ATS fault. The transportations to Kiruna is terrible. We needed to spend 2600 SEK to go with a taxi. We did not expect that.

Located a 10-minute drive from central Kiruna, this hotel offers free WiFi, regional cuisine and modern rooms with a flat-screen TV. A surprisingly entertaining place for such an edge of the world :) There is everything: - a large gym - a pub where everybody gathers in the evening - a wonderful Thai restraurant just next door - a summer pool shielded from rain

A recently renovated campground located in Gällivare, Piilijärvi Camping features a shared lounge. I managed to see the aurora borealis!

This guest house is in the centre of Abisko and next to Abisko National Park. Depending on the season, the midnight sun and the Northern Lights can be viewed from the property and surrounding area. The Kitchen was great and the location was incredibly convenient with a grocer around the corner. The staff were super accomodating, especially when our travel plans were foiled with trouble getting across the Norway border due to a snowstorm.

Located by Mount Luossavaara, Malmfältens Folkhögskola offers free parking and brightly decorated rooms with free WiFi and a TV. All guests have access to a shared kitchen and lounge. It was a lovely experience. You could borrow sledges or games from the reception for free. Restaurant had a buffet and unlimited drinks/dessert with every meal. Super nice. Would recommend it!

Situated in central Gällivare, Scandic Gällivare is 7 minutes' walk from Gällivare Train Station. Free use of the indoor pool and free WiFi access. The gym and pool are great The food is very good
