Located within a 5-minute ride from Chiang Rai Clock Tower, Saikaew Resort features cosy cottages with modern facilities with a laundry service. Free WiFi is provided throughout the resort. 10/10 for the hospitality from the hotel owner. There’s only 7 rooms in total. Each room comes with a simple kitchen, shower and a balcony for you to enjoy the lake view. The owner is an animal lover! He has 7-8 dogs, 2 cats and some birds. Breakfast was really good and only charging 60THB.

We loved the view from our room. We booked the Grand Master Suite and chose the 2nd floor so we could have an amazing 360° view of Chiang Khong. Mai, the owner of Baan Sakuna is lovely. She is very accommodating to the needs of the guests. You will need a vehicle to get out and about as its located a fair distance from restaurants and shops if you were to go by foot. There is a fabulous restaurant on site. We ate there the first night, but wanted to explore what else was around on our second night. The rooms either have very thick walls or sound proofing as we were told that guests would be arriving quite late and apologies were given for the noise in advance, but there was no noise or disruption of our beautiful and peaceful 2 nights that we spent at Baan Sakuna.

Le Meridien Chiang Rai Resort is surrounded by mountains, historic temples and hill tribe villages. This hotel is just wonderful. Everything perfect, clean and wonderful staff from the beggining to the end. Special thought to the team of Favola who was wonderful with us. Excellent breakfast with all what you need from western or Thai breakfast. I strongly recommend. It is 10/10.

Nestled on the island in the middle of the Kok River, The Riverie by Katathani offers luxurious rooms surrounded by lush garden, diverse plants and seasonal flowers. One of the best hotels during our Thailand trip. Hotel is really nice, with good breakfast. Staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful. Spacious comfortable rooms. The pool and water slides are such a winner for kids and adults, we have an incredible time as a whole family.
