I recently had the pleasure of visiting Villa Cucha with my family and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way! The property is beautifully maintained, with stunning views of nature and animals. La señora Dora was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed throughout my stay. The cabaña was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. The location was perfect for exploring the town and I appreciated the recommendations provided by la señora Dora.

The hospedaje is quiet, the budget room is small, but comfy. The kitchen is a big bonus if you like to cook, it even has a fire stove + fridge. The pueblo (Monguí) is one of the friendliest I have seen in Colombia. I stayed for almost two weeks here and I still could have stayed longer! Hiking in the area is fantastic, even when the Paramo Oceta is closed (you can still hike there from Mongua though!). I explored a few dirt roads in the area, visited restaurants, drank coffee here and there and then went to Lake Tota. Should have stayed in Monguí though and made daytrips to the lake and the other pueblos (Topaga, Mongua and Iza are also very nice and not very far). For bike fans like me: The bike rental in Mongui is overpriced (60k for a day) for the bikes you get. Next time I’d bring my own gravel bike and stay here for a month or so :).

    I stayed for five nights and everything went well. The people who work here are extremely helpful. They even came to pick me up when my bus arrived because it was raining so hard and there were no taxis available. I. would stay here again.

    Friendly and helpful staff, comfy bed, clean and quiet room, close to everything. There is a restaurant working in the accomodation. They kindly stored our backpacks for a half day after check-out. Great value for money. Recommended!

    Amazing hosts and perfect location. It is right by the central square, but very peaceful. Diana and Quentin were very sociable and welcoming. They go above and beyond to make sure that you are enjoying your stay. The space is very clean and well-kept.

    Celaví hostel was absolutely perfect. It was clean, had a well equipped kitchen, and the room was comfy with everything you would need! We were also upgraded to a family room as we booked for three nights which was a lovely gesture! Quentin and Diana were wonderful hosts who went out of their way to help us arrange to do everything we wanted to in Monguí and give us all the recommendations we could ask for! This was without a doubt one of the best hostels we have stayed in.

    I loved everything about this hostel: the location, the comfy beds, the facilities, everything was clean, but what made my stay so amazing was definitely the hosts, they really make you feel like you're at a friend's house, they give you great hiking recommendations and they do their best to create a nice atmosphere, when I stayed there they organised a waffles night ❤️ I'd definitely come back!

    Quentin and Diana are such lovely persons: They make sure you feel welcome and at home during your stay and can provide you with information and hints for hiking and visiting Mongui. The hostel is placed in the village center, not far from the bus stop. Everything was very clean and there is a well equipped kitchen with an incredible view on the mountains. The village is very beautiful and the surrounding nature magnificent! I hope I'll come back one day, merci beaucoup :)

    Easily one of the best we’ve stayed in in SA. Lovely, thoughtful and kind staff. Diana and Quentin were so patient with us when our plans changed and advised us on how to navigate the area! A fireplace!!! nice communal areas, good location, clean rooms - we had a balcony too!! Definitely stay here again if we come back! we got to go paragliding because of Quentin! if you’re down for that make sure to ask!

    Quentin and Diana provides more than a regular hostel. A home away from home, they will provide exceptional attention. The hostel is really comfortable and well located. Unfortunately, I was sick during my stay so i couldn't enjoy the activities of Mongui. However, they made some tea for me, took really good care of me ! We had a lovely night all together socialising and drinking (with moderation). See you soon I hope ! Josh&Jay

    Quentin and Danielle are so wonderful! Felt like staying with old friends, welcoming and warm! They're extremely helpful, from giving advice and recommendations about hikes and activities to do in the area, to helping with onward travel planning and visa extension and navigating Colombian bureaucracy! The hostel is very quaint and kept impeccably clean. And great location. Beds were so comfortable and the duvet was deliciously warm. Recommend to everyone I meet.

    Incredible friendly and helpful young hosts who provided us a very pleasant stay including breakfast brought to your cottage every morning. The accomodation was very cosy and clean and the scenery was stunning. Even though it got a little cold at night the electric heater provided us a warm and comfortable stay. Hot water was available everytime throughout the day. We can totally recommend Hakuna Matata Glamping!!!
