Well.. a nice surprise. A few years ago, a colleague stayed a few times and did not rate the place. Not sure if it's changed ownership, but it's a beautiful, quirky building, very nicely restored in a mid century kind of way. I was in a room in the 700s which are on the hillside through a James Bond villain tunnel and lift. Nicely appointed room, well done bathroom all super clean. And an actual minibar. With things in it. Proper cups for coffee, not paper. A former colleague joined for dinner in the Cafe, with well presented food and good service, the downstairs bar is really a hidden gem too. All in all, way exceeded my expectations and thoroughly recommend it.

The location is excellent and close to Kolding town hall! There are really nice restaurants around and the Koldinghus castle is just a 10 minute walk. The service was excellent and the breakfast spread was amazing. Also they are dog friendly ☺️

We liked the breakfast, the room was very nice. We would like to thanks again to the hotel for the changing of the dates of our stay. There is 24/7 reception which was needed for us as we arrived after midnight.

Check in was fine even though we arrived after the reception closed. It closes at midday this time of year. Keys were in an envelope, and we paid in the morning. The room was fine, everything was clean. Very welcoming staff. The little burger place just down the hill was fine for a bite to eat.

    We were by train and used Kolding as a layover between Netherlands and Frederikshavn. Simple b&b with indeed a very good breakfast. The location is on walking distance to the Kolding train station. It is a small and old building but with its own charm. Owner was very relaxed and flexible. Rooms simple but clean. We would definitely stay again for a stopover.

    The room was a single and very comfortable for my 1 night stay. Breakfast offered plenty of choices and the dining area was spacious and stylish. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel reflects its grand history and was in much better condition than I was expecting. Availability of cake and coffee, and icecream machine, in the afternoon was welcome.

    Lisbeth was really nice and helpful. The location of the villa Gertrud is really close to the city centre which is great. The room was clean, the shared bathroom was small but convenient. If you need someplace to spend a night in the cute city of Kolding, Villa Gertrud is a nice place for a short stay. Thank you Lisbeth for your hospitality!

    The setting is lovely. By the lake (although we couldn’t see it from our flats). Felt intimate as only 3 flats in our small building. Great town lovely cafes and restaurants and friendly reception staff. It was the first accommodation on our trip In Denmark that had really comfortable beds!

    In Kolding, we were there for the first time and we were looking for accommodation outside the city. The campsite is close to the center, yet still in nature. This is very pleasant. We liked the cabin architecturally. It has an interesting layout and all necessary equipment.

    This is the second time I have used this accomodation I found it ideal, I was passing through only staying one night but would be happy to stay longer. I really liked having my own bathroom with excellent shower and toilet. Nicely located near motorways
