My room was clean and functional and had a very comfortable bed with great pillows and aircon. However, it was the lovely staff who made it such a pleasure to stay there. They were friendly and helpful and incredibly kind when my car broke down (terminally!) and I was very stressed about trying to get home without it. I asked in advance for the room with the balcony window overlooking the river and the pleasant owner organised this for us. The staff were very friendly. There was parking just outside the hotel which was either free or not too expensive when we stayed which partly straddled a bank holiday. The wifi was good which allowed us to check emails and listen to Radio Caroline on their internet broadcasts.
