Amazing location, a little bit unusual breakfast deal, you get the food in the evening and keep it in the fridge. But it was nice. I liked it, the muffin was very good and you can eat in bed.

Excellent location for walking, it is remote however Buxton with all its restaurants and bars is only a 10 min drive.. Breakfast was lovely.. Picturesque filled with nature, animals, hills and flowers..

The place is really cosy and very comfortable. Fantastic bed! Perfect location and really handy having a parking space right in front. Beautifully decorated and has everything you need. The host is also very attentive and friendly. Can’t recommend Foxgloves enough!

A lovely cottage in a fab location. I loved the garden, the stream at the end of it and the ducks and squirrels that came to visit. The bed I slept in was very comfortable and the shower hot and powerful. There was a lovely well equipped kitchen with everything you need including dishwasher and washer dryer.

Having been to Castleton previously but not staying there we were aware of the cottage location, it's perfect. It's super cosy with underfloor heating..an open fire to sit around on the cold nights, with a bottle of wine of course. Plenty of wildlife to see out the windows in the morning and of course the views of Man Tor. Within a few seconds to a few minutes walk there's cafes, shops and pubs. Large car park opposite, not too pricey. The view of the hills are great and there's plenty of walks to do.

    Location was great, right in the middle of Castleton which was really buzzing as it was a bank holiday weekend. Staff were really friendly and helpful despite it being so busy. Brilliant and generous breakfast included in the rate with lots of choice, the best eggs royale! Plus they serve it until 11 am and they’re open to the public for it so you don’t have to stay there to get it. We also ate dinner there on a couple of nights and that was lovely too.

    A perfect place to stay for where I was going which was a gig in Peak Cavern. The place itself was immaculately presented with a lovely sitting area and a great bathroom. My booking said to call into the restaurant in front of the accommodation to pick up the keys and I was immediately met by the owner who told me where to park and access the barn. I would also highly recommend the 1530 restaurant who own the accommodation, excellent food in a place with a nice vibe.

    We stayed one night at the end of a walking trip and found the accommodation very comfortable and perfect for our needs. Being over the pub means you can pop down for food and drink and stumble up to bed, which was great.

    We had a hugely enjoyable holiday in Castleton. Our stay here was relaxing. Our room big and beautifully decorated, and with a wonderful view. Gary, the owner - and chef:), was fantastic! He correctly suggested we leave the car and walk through the farm into the village - the stroll was magical that I almost proposed to my girlfriend!

    My sister and I stayed here for a walking weekend in July. It was lovely accommodation - comfy beds, lots of hot water. Good walking on the doorstep. Walked up Mam Tor and sheltered from the thunder and lightning on the Limestone Way - not what we had planned! Good pubs and tea rooms on your doorstep.
