    The room we booked is very spacious for the two of us travelling with two suitcases The room is very modern and very clean The bed is so large and they offered both japanese style and western style pillows, which i haven't had at the other accommodations we had in japan The staff are so helpful and friendly The bar/cafe/lounge area on-site is so appreciated The location is decent. It is about a 10 min walk from nishiki market If you stay longer than 3 nights, they offer 1 room service

    The most original Japanese accomodation we stayed in during our holiday. The hosts/owners were just fantastic. Helpful, cheerful and a joy to converse with. If you are looking for the real Japan this accomodation has it all. The newly updated room and bathroom were spot on.

    Small, cute hotel located close to the train station. Good places to eat around the area as well. As with most Japan accommodations, room was a bit small but still comfortable for our family of 5. Hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful as well. I really like the hotel, it’s really cozy and gives such a laid-back vibe. Would definitely come back to stay here.

    The staff were amazing and went out of their way to make everything comfortable and simple. We left behind a coat and they shipped it to our next hotel on the same day (at our expense of course). Could not recommend them enough, we loved our stay and would go back in a heartbeat. Our room was very large compared to other accommodations in Japan.

    The best accomodation of my vacation in Japan. The room came stocked with a humidifier. The AC allowed a cooling settings whereas other accommodations were centrally controlled to either hot or cold depending on season. The futon was a very good sleep and alleviated the back pain I had been experiencing prior to my stay. Would stay again!

    Sim is a great host and an even better person. From the very beginning he made my partner and I feel at home. He helped curate our plans throughout Kyoto and gave great local recommendations. Of all the accommodations we stayed at during our Japan trip, the Guesthouse Soi was by far our favorite. Cannot reccomend this location enough! As a side note: Definitely order traditional breakfast. It was incredible and gives you that comforting feeling of a home cooked meal during a long vacation
