    Location was great. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good, although you may have to wait for some time to be seated at the weekends or on holidays. We had a room with a lovely view of the river and you could open the windows.

    I have stayed at the Comfort Hotel chain before. This is an older property but they are all basically the same so you know what you are getting and its pretty standard: Laundry. Breakfast. NO smoking property. However given my comments below I selected another hotel when I returned to Niigata.

    Neat and cozy room. Wonderful breakfast. We really loved the buffet style breakfast. They provided us with different menu every day. Kind and friendly staffs. Only two minutes away from JR Niigata station. After staying at this hotel, we were out of town to visit other place. When we got back to Niigata, we came back to this hotel. Enjoyed our stay here :)

    Very spacious and clean. The property was very modern, warm inside, fast wifi throughout the building. One of the nicest hostels/guest houses we've stayed at in Japan. A comfortable place to base yourself for a few days if you are tired of the trains and city rush.

    It is a typical nice stay with Dormy Inn, the room is just right, hotel is not new but definitely well maintained and everything is clean, the public bath is good and to combat the very cold weather, they offer items like outer jacket for the yukata, blanket, soaks...etc per request - that's a very nice touch.

    Great location. Short walk to station and close to a number of nice restaurants. Definitely a tight fight especially if you have a lot of luggage (E.g a snow board bag) but that is expected for APA in Japan. Everything in the room is very convenient and makes any short stay easier. S

    I loved the Ghibli theme! Kuku was the best part of the stay I wish I could have taken him with me :) everything was clean and the kitchen had a fair amount of kitchen space and utilities in comparison to most Japanese accommodation. it was a nice Japanese style bunk bed (more like a mezzanine). The washing machine was a big plus, at 100¥ that was a good price. there’s was free tea and coffee which is nice
