    Easy to find, easy self check in. Great location. Easy parking. Lovely historic home. Perfectly clean. Amazing, comfortable common areas and huge modern kitchen for self-catering. With only 11 rooms, it felt like an exclusive and homely stay. Husband and I had a double room - cannot fault. Our adult daughters had a bunk room - a little cramped and stuffy but they still enjoyed the stay. Breakfast in hotel was lovely.

    Was abysmal. Property was not located where it was suggested on booking.com. Not accessible without a car and ski in / ski out only. Which was not useful when you were not skiing! The staff were impossible to get hold of. We couldn’t collect the keys as it was down a motorway miles away from the bus terminal (despite showing it should be in the town centre) so we couldn’t even stay. Couldn’t get hold of them to help, no refund. It is the worst experience I have ever had. My emails and calls went unanswered.

    We had such a lovely stay, the hotel is very relaxed and friendly, the staff were all wonderful. The ski lifts are just outside, and there is a ski rental shop at the hotel, too, where the staff were also really helpful and friendly. The atmosphere of the whole place is very understated and relaxing. We'd love to come back!

    Good accommodation flexibility to allow room for family of 5. Not tied to Saturday to Saturday booking. Pool, and recreation facilities in good condition. Good choice of food at buffet and breakfast for our family, which includes vegetarians and fussy kids as well as meat and fish eaters. Good ski lockers, with super easy access straight out onto slopes. Nice cosy lounge area, although fills up quickly. Nice option for pizzas.

    Super nice and helpful hosts! The cabin is cozy, warm (we stayed there with temperatures from 0°C to -30°C) and has everything you need to spend the week(end) on the slopes. The accommodation is 5 minutes away from the nearest ski lift. 5 minutes also to the bus stop to reach other skiing villages.

    Trysil Hyttegrend was able to offer the 8 nights and we needed since SAS has no flights out of Salen airport on Saturdays. This made our overall holiday plans possible. The location and accomodation are fantastic. There is easy access to the ski resort via the free skibus.
