This hotel is located a few minutes' walk from Lake Forggensee, 8 km from Füssen town centre. It offers country-style rooms and a terrace with a panoramic view of the Allgäu Alps and the royal castles. This is my 2nd visit. First was in 2017 and it was fantastic then. 2nd even better because they’ve added on to their property a whole new 2nd bldg with a wellness spa(sauna, steam and pool). The views are also breathtaking from the hotel. Location is perfect.

Built in 1853 and right on the picturesque Fürstenweg, a small path leading to Neuschwanstein Castle, Gutshof zum Schluxen enjoys a quiet location in the middle of fields with grazing cows and horses, and Queen Marie von Bayern stayed here with her sons Ludwig and Otto. Füssen and Reutte are only a 10-minute drive away. Everything is good with the kids. We really enjoy the campfire there.

Definitely will come back to that place not just for overnight, but at least 3-5days. Exceptional clean, well equipped apartment, quite surrounding of Alps view. Good restaurants just 5 min of driving or 20 min by foot.

This family-run hotel offers free WiFi in all areas and rooms with balconies overlooking the Allgäu Alps. It stands in a quiet residential area of Füssen, a 15-minute drive from the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles. It was the most satisfying hotel of my seven nights in southern Germany and I wanted to stay one more night, and the room was pretty and especially the elaborate breakfast was impressive. The yard next to the hotel is lovely, too. I really want to stay again when I come to Füssen.
