The location was perfect and the journey was great, going through the Rio Negro it was very nice experience. The place was simple, cleaned and tidy. The reception was very nice with Lucas (we arrived a bit late but he was there) Raquel the employee of the Refúgio was very kind and friendly. I stayed at VilaVerin Apartments and had a truly pleasant experience. The location is excellent — close to everything you might need, yet in a quiet and peaceful area. The apartment itself was very clean, well-organized, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, from kitchen tools to towels and even small extras that made the stay more comfortable. What stood out the most was the friendliness of the owner. They were welcoming, always available to help, and made sure everything was going smoothly during my stay. It really felt like a home away from home. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

THIS IS A CRUISE NOT A HOTEL BOAT!!! I wish they would be more clear about his, took me a little while to confirm. This is a wonderful cruise on the Amazon (aka Solimões - this is what Amazon is called in this part of Brazil) and Rio Negro rivers. Friday to Monday is Amazon river, Monday to Friday is Rio Negro cruise, you can book either or both. They have several activities every day - boat trips, jungle walks, etc. Tons of food available from about 6am to 11p. And they now have satellite internet service through Starlink. It's kinda pricey but it's a wonderful experience with attentive crew, great food, and amazing views. All rooms have balconies. The shower is very spacious (and big enough for 2 people). Several power outlets in the room.
