When you stroll out in the evening, the lanterns light up, and old shops and street food stalls are right in front of you, full of that lively, authentic vibe. No need to hunt for places to eat; just step into any spot, and it’s sure to be delicious. The biggest surprise, though, is the service here—they truly take care of every little detail. When I checked in, the owner warmly introduced local attractions, even telling me which shop has the most authentic Pingyao beef and the best time to visit Rishengchang to avoid crowds. That kind of thoughtful care makes the whole trip feel so warm. I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back to Pingyao. Great location, amazing atmosphere, and service that’s second to none—highly recommended!

The hosts gave a very warm welcome meeting us at the train station and helping with delivering the baggage which was very handy because one cannot take a car into the ancient city and otherwise has carry your bags from the gates. The location is an ideal balance of central position just several hundred meters away from the one of the main streets with the Administrator’s house and a quite alley away from noise. The room was a separate house with 1,5 floors. The interior is made with love and with much attention to details which make you feel that you are indeed in an ancient city but with all the benefits of modernity. The courtyard where you can sit and have a breakfast or just enjoy tea or simply relax is really impressive. This is family run business and the guys are always ready to help and very responsive.
