Amazing location surrounded by trees, stunning huge huts with palm leaf roof, air con, massive bed, showers were lush and each hut had their own outside plunge pool on decking along with sun beds - ours wasn’t overlooked and was surrounded by trees and overlooked the river. There was also a beautiful infinity pool, bar and restaurant. Staff were brilliant.

Located five minutes away from Tayrona Park main entrance. Senda Koguiwa provides accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and an outdoor swimming pool. Location!!! And Nature. The sounds of the river makes it special. And the proactive and friendly staff.

It is easy to mingle around without getting lost inside the hotel. I didn’t use the spa which seem amazing but I am definitely coming back and that will be one of the things I won’t miss. 🥰

Ecolodge Playa Brava Teyumakke offers accommodation in Santa Marta. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. You can play table tennis at this hostel. Fantastic beach front private cabin. I thought food and drink was reasonable given location, certainly much cheaper than anything in Europe if slightly more expensive than Colombia elsewhere. Nice room, beautiful location. Allowed us to have an early breakfast.

Offering a terrace and views of the garden, Masaya Casas Viejas is set 30 minutes away from Minca in the Magdalena Region by 4x4 or motorcycle, and 12 mi from Santa Marta. Wow! what a location; it’s an adventure gettimg there…but absolutely worth it. Solo traveler; the Masaya team does a great job w activities, chill music, places to be solo and place to be w others, communal later dinners, and just very cheerful folks who take care of the lodge, the food, and the folks to a recognizable degree. GRACIAS, Masaya Casas Viejas. When I return to the coast ..I will be back.

I LOVED this hostel, the beach was great without any waves, not a lot of people, very calm water. The breakfast was delish, the food and drinks sold at the bar were very good, a bit pricey but not too bad. I will stay here everytime I visit Santa Marta. Do keep in mind that it's like 15/20 min drive to the center of Santa Marta, but taxis are cheap.
