But the best thing was the people working there, who helped us with everything during our trip, from transportation to Aswan to laundry and day-trips to the Nubian Village, and made us love the island. There is a sense of community on the island and especially in the guest house that we will always remember.

The bqlcony opens onto the Nile and you can admire the sunrise. There is fantastic Nubian village with lots of stalks where you can buy gifts and spices. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was fantqstic too. I honestly recommend it to anyone.

At the accommodation guests are welcome to take advantage of a hot spring bath. the hotel is located on the quiet side of the island so you don't feel the smog and dust! the ferry between the island and the city runs every 10 minutes and costs about 0.2 USD (January 2025) there is a shop and a restaurant on the island but I recommend eating at the hotel because Mr. Omar is a great cook (the food is delicious and we didn't have any stomach problems even eating raw vegetables). Mr. Omar arranged all the trips for us (Abu simbel, Phile and transport from the airport and to Luxor) at unbeatable prices and without haggling. the contact with the host is great. he replies quickly on WhatsApp.

Ashraf and his family are extraordinary hosts. They can provide a spectacular dinner or a delicious breakfast. We skipped dinner as we were coming back from a long trip, and it was great to rest and recharge our batteries for our visit to the Temple of Ramses II early the next day, practically free of tourists.
