We were hoping for a spacious and quiet place to stay the night after 18+ hours of travel, and this was perfect. Easy drive from DUB airport, fantastic host (Siobhan) was so accommodating and had even purchased gluten free bread and granola for us, and everything was exactly as described. We regretted not staying longer but already had the next hotel booked. Next time we’ll stay a week!

A short stay away over Christmas, Summergrove was the perfect destination for my husband and I. We immensely enjoyed the beautiful grounds, the wonderfully furnished manor house, but most importantly the excellent host James. Nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful breakfasts, an amazing three course meal for Christmas lunch! My goodness, felt so spoilt. Can highly recommend!!

There is so much space for drinks and dinner , the kitchen is amazing! we had a big dinner for 10+ - plenty of glassware / dishware / platters for the event . It was spacious but cosy….Abbeyleix is a lovely little town with a few local pubs , nice bakery, convenient supermarket, gift shop… it’s so cute! Ross , the host, is brilliant ! Very friendly , helpful , accommodating , knowledgeable… such a nice guy. We were sad to leave when our stay ended!

We liked the accomodation a lot. We were welcomed by Jamie who was very helpful and friendly and gave us recommendation for eating/pubs in Durrow (we liked very much the Bob's bar in Durrow). The accomodation is in a very quite and very green location. I was easy to find and with a car it was very close to a village of Durrow. Our room had a lot of space, everything was very clean and the beds comfortable. There was also fridge available in the breakfast room to store our food. The breakfast was very good, with big choice of cereals (even gluten-free options), jams and fresh bread, but there was also cheese and joghurt available.
