This was my favorite stay in India. We made a slight upgrade when arriving to the property for a nicer view. The location was great, we were provided amazing recommendations, even a last minute tour guide (that met us at our location when our tour guide didn’t show. We felt like family and like we were taken care of, looked after, with genuine kindness. The property was clean, smelled nice, no issues with mold (it’s frequent in India). Don’t bother looking at other properties, this is the one!

The place is amazing, very well maintained, and is located in the village away from the noisy town. The owner is super friendly and always available, willing to compromise and help! It felt like home and this family vibe here made me extend my stay :D Highly highly recommended!

From the seamless pre-arrival arrangements to the warm hospitality throughout our stay, everything was well taken care of. Pre-Arrival & Check-in: The host helped arrange our airport transfer and transportation for two days of excursions, making our trip hassle-free from the start. Accommodation & Facilities: Our room was excellent—sparkling clean, well-maintained, and equipped with both AC and a fan, an attached bathroom, and all the basic amenities we needed. Accessibility was a plus, with an elevator available to reach our floor. Location & Surroundings: Rajhat Marano House is located in a peaceful neighborhood, yet it is conveniently close to everything. The Maha Bodhi Temple is less than 200m away (a 5-minute walk via the Bodhgaya Gov Hospital shortcut, accessible from 5 AM to 9 PM). Plenty of eateries—including cafes, food stalls, restaurants, and bakeries—are within the same walking distance, making it easy to explore the locals. Hospitality: The host was incredibly attentive and helpful with all our requests, making us feel right at home. What made our stay even more special was the host’s warm accommodation of our interest in local delicacies, which led us to privately name our favorite food gathering spot as “Osama Kitchen.” The highlight of every meal? A humble yet comforting cup of chai, never failing to delight us! Overall, Rajhat Marano House provided a wonderful stay with top-notch hospitality, great location, and excellent accommodations. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bodhgaya!

We had an amazing stay here, the staff was very friendly and the project that they are supporting with over 700 students to change their local community is inspiring. We left inspired by the children who have been given an opportunity due to the amazing work of the staff here. It was very nice to see and speak with the children during our stay. Two big thumbs up. Additionally, the took great care of us to help organize tours, help us send a package with the India Post, and organize other sightseeing during our stay. We will stay there again and I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a local authentic experience with people making a true change in their community.
