The staff was polite and helpfull. Well, the food was outstanding meaning the amount of options for the breaks fast and the quality of the food.

Our room was large, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We had a great view from our room of the deer on the grounds below us. There is a little kitchen along the hall you can use and a small supermarket next door for groceries as well as a public Onsen downstairs. It had absolutely everything you would need.

The traditional dinner and breakfast were exquisite, beautifully presented and full of flavor. The location is perfect — walking distance to Nara Park and temples, yet quiet and serene. The room was spacious, elegant, and very comfortable

The ryokan has family rooms. Yamato may not be the closest to Osaka, but it is still pretty close to Ikoma station from where you can take the Kintetsu line into the city. The area around the ryokan is amazing, but warning - the stairs going up to it are only easy downwards :D Yamato itself is amazing, it has everything for the traditional ryokan experience - tatami, futon, onsen and yukata. The owner is super nice and she even asked her husband to help me with my big luggages, thank you so much! I would definitely come back here if I'm in the area!
