Yujiro, the owner, contacted me even before my stay with amazing recommendations such as restaurants and attractions in Takeo Onsen area. He even assisted in booking a table for me at an marvelous restaurant. Thank you for making my Takeo Onsen experience truly amazing, Yurijo. In addition, the location of the guesthouse in ideal as you can walk to many places such as the famous tree, the library and the onsen itself. Also, the room is spacious and the bed is comfy. I slept like a rock. Before I left, I had an insightful and fun conversation with Yurijo. Thank you again. Hope to see you and stay at the guesthouse again.

It is located very near to the Takeo Onsen Romon, just 1 min walking distance. The host, Satomi, is very nice. She provides us with many tourist and dining information. Although it is not next to the JR station, it is very handy to reach there by taxi with a cost around 800 yen for a 5 mins ride.

This guest house offers free private parking and luggage storage space. The property is non-smoking and is set 13 km from Takeo-Onsen Station. The property is a separate house next to the host's house. It consists of a large Japanese-style bedroom, an equipped kitchen with a dining table, and a bathroom with a Western-style toilet, shower, and washing machine. The house was very clean and well-furnished. In the bedroom, there's an AC unit, and in the winter the host provides additional heating devices. The neighborhood is very quiet, so my stay was super comfortable. On top of that, the host is extremely nice and accommodating.

Situated 400 metres from Nishinohama Beach, AKARIYA Hostel offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden and a tennis court. A hot tub and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. It was a really nice hotel. The owner was very nice and there was no inconvenience. If I have to go back to Karatsu, I think I'd like to stay there again. Anyway, I really recommend this hotel.

Incredible guesthouse in a nice a traditional Japanese village, right by the train station also. Had the whole dorm to myself that night and was able to cook up a feast. Owner was so friendly and let me keep my bags after check out also.

Extras include slippers, free toiletries and a hairdryer. Location on the fringe of Karatsu is ideal, with easy parking. Our room in East Wing faced the beach and had a superb view on the bay. The outdoor swimming pool is beautiful, large enough for a little swim, with views right on the seaside and the celebrated local pine grove. You can easily go from beach to swimming pool. We were well received and kindly upgraded to a huge, luxurious room; every comfort you can think of was there. The circulation from bedroom to onsen to swimming pool can be complex, but we were given an English language map that greatly helped. This was our second stay in Karatsu, and we'd love to come back and stay in Karatsu Seaside Hotel another time !

Great location, beautiful property, great service and wonderful staff. The in-house hot spring was great, too. We celebrated our husbands’ big birthday there. The restaurant prepared a special birthday cake for them!

We really enjoyed the food. The service was also excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms and garden were beautiful.
