The food was delicious, made with high quality products and with a large selection of different dishes. The owners were very nice with us. If you want to have an experience in a traditionnal family owned ryokan, I highly recommend to stay there :) It is exactly the kind of place that I hope will still exist in some years!

The Kaiseki dinner was beautifully prepared and a unique experience. The Ryokan team always made sure to accommodate our wishes. We really enjoyed our stay even though our Japanese was very basic.

Staff friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is excellent with a huge variety. Try to do the first tracks which allows you skiing before the mountain opens.

The hotel staff are very helpful. The room was great, our semi-outdoor bath looked out into a little garden. They had a small outdoor onsen, perfect for a cold winter evening. Our set breakfast and dinner were fantastic, as we had a private dining room. The complimentary drinks were a nice welcome for a cold wet day.

The host was wonderful - so helpful and so willing to communicate by means of phone translator. She organised us a taxi to Mt Gassan 8th station. Food was fab. Hope to return to do more of the local pilgrimage routes. Mt Kaguro is on the doorstep.
