Plus the fantastic view of Mt Fuji from the rooftop and closeness to the train station. The best value for money and best stay so far on our 3 week trip to Japan (over two weeks in)

Cleanliness, amazing view of Mount Fuji, staff were friendly. Bedding was comfy and clean. Everything felt like it was organized smoothly. Not cheap for the tent but understand it is peak season.

Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. everything was just perfect. it is so atmospheric place

Situé à 5 minutes à pied de la gare de Shimoyoshida, l'Hostel & Salon Saruya vous propose un hébergement rénové de style japonais datant des années 1930. Everything!!! The family room we got was very spacious. The futon was very soft and comfortable. The toilet, bathroom and the kitchen were all clean. The person who assisted at the check-in was super nice.

Right on the shore of the scenic Kawaguchiko Lake, Hotel New Century boasts spacious Japanese-style rooms overlooking the lake and Mount Fuji. Everything. It was everything I was expecting to find in a Japanese style hotel. The staff was adorable, everything was perfect.

Amazing experience of a traditional ryokan. The staff was excellent, kind and helpful at all times, rooms were clean and tidy, ours had an amazing view of the lake. You can use most of the facilities for free with some additional ones having a fee. We chose the included dinner and breakfast option, dinner was an amazing experience full of flavors and textures we were not used but definitely liked. Breakfast was pretty good, buffet style, but with both Japanese and western options. In terms of location, I think it’s really good depending on what you want to visit. It is just in front of the lake, and has the red line (i think) bus stop right in front of it, which we used to get there from the train station and to get to other tourist spots around the lake. There’s a lawson just outside, the boat ride in the lake and the panoramic ropeway are also just a few minutes walk away which was very convenient.
