Hotel Miss Blanche is a boutique hotel in the centre of Groningen. The hotel offers 62 individually appointed rooms, studios and apartments. Very comfortable, large bed, excellent location close to the city center. But above all, it was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who accommodated every single request I had (late check-in, an extra blanket, additional toiletries, help ordering a taxi). Not to mention that I forgot a personal item in the room, and they contacted me and offered to ship it to my address.

Set in a 15th-century building, Prinsenhof offers individually decorated rooms. It features the Prinsenhof Gardens, a renaissance-style courtyard with a landscaped rose and herb garden. Amazing place. Room was stylish and spacious. Breakfast was served in a cozy brasserie which used to be a church before. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Smaakvol Slochteren, I will certainly stay here again during my next visit to Groningen! Comfortable bed, nice room, excellent breakfast and I could even sit and relax in the garden. Ellen was so attentive and helpful in giving tips and suggestions, making the stay so nice! I stayed here for four nights and during one of the days they offered me to use one of the bicycles so I could explore the area by bike and enjoy the countryside of Groningen during a nice sunny day. Also the tip regarding a local garden center was excellent. Big thanks!

Really, everything! The hosts were so incredibly thoughtful and kind. The breakfast was truly amazing and our accommodations were beautiful and so very comfortable. The location itself was perfect: we were able to experience a peaceful and charming village with a historical windmill while also only being 20 minutes away from a larger city.

Such a spacious, comfortable and relaxing place to rest and unwind with the option of sitting outside. I loved the private terrace overlooking the field, with a fire in the firepit (everything provided) and watching the deer crossing at dusk. Peaceful both inside and out. All the conveniences in the kitchen plus oil and spices were very welcome. Great shower and comfy bed. Lovely host to welcome us in.

Breakfast was very yummy, everything what you need and if you have some special need for your breakfast it’s not problem at all. In kitchen is everything, even aluminium foil or paper towels or plastic cups/plates for children. And the bed?
