The property is clean, well maintained, it also has historical significance. I’ve stayed at this property many times while visiting the KZN city.

Situated within the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg World Heritage Site, this 4-star hotel is surrounded by gardens and overlooks the Drakenberg Mountains. In the end we booked 5 nights. The location is exceptional bordering the Nature reserve of the Drakensberg world heritage site. The food is phenomenal. Having 3 buffet meals per day included in the price.

Durban Station is 1 km away, and the on-site Café Jiran serves award winning coffee. i always book a room with a sea view. Breakfast always has a good variety of foods, and staff are very attentive and friendly. For the Comrades's runner we require a very early breakfast and i find it very slightly disappointing, as the hotel is 90% full of runners from all nations. A special shout out to the concierge ( a tall , solid looking, white Sth African whose name i cannot remember), he service was OUTSTANDING. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

The property was 7 mins away from the wedding venue, so was absolutely perfect to come back to after the wedding. The hosts left the lights on for me and even left me a bar of chocolate for late night feasting. Bed was under comfy and the shower and pool were a real pleasure

The walk in closet made it easy to store our luggage.The host Mariaan was absolutely friendly and very helpful. The rooms are neat and comfortable. Property is close to shops and restaurants. I will definitely be coming back.
