Located in the grounds of Dublin Airport, this 4-star Maldron hotel operates a free 24-hour shuttle service to and from the airport terminal for guests. I just found it unnecessary when you pay for the stay and still leave a deposit of €100 to be able to stay. As I couldn't use my international card, I paid in cash and they asked for a deposit of €100 in addition to the payment to stay.

(On airport we bought TFI Leap visitor card) In my room there was EU plug (220V) and 2 USB plugs for charging mobile phones (beside UK plugs). Great sound insulation (airport is near hotel but you dont hear anything). They stored our luggage before check-in because we came early and then went to city.

Not for the faint of heart. This property ranks at the top of the scale. Immaculate and beautifully appointed in every way. We had the deluxe king room. There is a shared kitchen with private fridges for each guest room loaded with enough food and snacks for a great breakfast. Gillian and Paschal are super hosts.

Beaumont House was a lovely place to stay overnight as it has contemporary rooms BEHIND the historic Beaumont House property. There is a full restaurant and bar here and the staff member who gave me the key to the room, and showed me to the room, also took my luggage up for me, which was very appreciated. If I ever have to stay an unexpected night at the Dublin airport, I would definitely stay there again. Taxi to there took about 20 minutes and cost around 20 Euros. Go into the restaurant door to get your key, etc.

The place is very serene. It's a perfect combination of city and countryside despite being fully in the city. There are quite a few green areas and it's a perfect place to stay to save some money and be relatively close to Dublin.

I always stay at the Cloghran the day before flying out of Dublin...it makes it so much easier than the hecticness of the long trip to the airport then flying out the the same day. Arriving at the hotel, having a nice meal, and a comfortable bed takes the hectic ness out of travel.

Santry is NOT a destination!
Santry is NOT a destination!! It is a near-airport hotel! Anyone staying more than one night would go to Dublin or other areas of Fingal, but there is not much in Santry other than the shopping center and DUB airport!!

Having family here is the main reason for coming to swords,...
Having family here is the main reason for coming to swords, however it’s a lovely place with so much going on. From swords castle to the pavilion, if you fancy abit of shopping and not far from the beaches. It’s so close to the airport which makes it very convenient when you can be at your end destination in left than 40 minutes after landing. If you want to go into the city centre, hopping onto a bus is very simple.
