Although my stay was short, I had a pleasant experience, and I would definitely planning to make a second visit with my family. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing beachside escape with great service.

Definitely a quieter side of Sri Lanka, though its picking...
Definitely a quieter side of Sri Lanka, though its picking up and the nice part is if you have transport you can go visit the other beaches which are all in the same line and about 20-30 minutes distance within each other. There's a lot to do in terms if shopping some knick knacks, enjoying the food and some drinks as well. You just need to ask the locals where they go and what they like and you're bound to have a memorable time.

Spent only one night at Thalpe, by far the best place so far...
Spent only one night at Thalpe, by far the best place so far in the area. The Seaview was amazing along with the rope swing. Keerthi who was at the place was very helpful even though there was a powerful for 7 hours.

Nice beaches and beach restaurants.
Nice beaches and beach restaurants. Main road was busy / noisy most of the time with continuous cars, tuk tuks and buses. Lots of of rubbish on the verges and everywhere in general. no attempt to clear rubbish which i found quite depressing and locals had no interest in recycling plastic rubbish. this was not restricted to Koggala, it was common everywhere we went, quite disturbing,

Habaraduwa is right next to Galle, and a lot less crowded, and the beaches here are absolutely stunning and magical. We wanted to try more authentic foods but almost always ended up at a place catered to foreigners. Bakeries are a great place to get local savoury breads. I wish I had more time to explore this place. Please don’t litter and help clean up whenever possible to keep the beaches and the country glowing!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life!
Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life! There are some weekly parties in town and a lot of solo travellers which can be met on social hostels, all around the town and at the beach. Loved Ahangama and it gave me very homey feeling, came back after seen the island a bit more!

The owners are delightful, courteous and accommodating.
The owners are delightful, courteous and accommodating. The outlook is gorgeous as right on the sea. The road is busy and noisy but the ocean is louder! We loved our stay here and the ideal place to relax after our long flight (they arranged a taxi to collect us). It is not that easy to find and don’t confuse with a restaurant called turtle beach which is 2km away.
