- We were well received and felt very much at home from the point when we walked in. - All the staff were exceptional and very helpful, special thanks to John for going the extra mile to ensure we got the best out of our stay. - The food was excellent. I write this piece 6 weeks after my visit to Lilongwe and after touring Germany, Bulgaria and Poland. In short, in any of the latter 3 countries I would have had to pay 5 to 6 times more than I did in Lilongwe, if i wanted to enjoy service, space, comfort and peace remotely equivalent to the Burley House experience. Apart from enjoying a comfortable room with good WiFi, international TV (we watched the IPL and ATP tennis), wonderful meals and an incredible garden, what stands out at Burley House is the incredible warmth of the staff. This is not surprising as it is, after all, Malawi.
