We visited just 2 days after the start of the season and stayed for 7 days. The hotel was very well maintained compared to some other Mediterranean locations we've stayed in. The food at the main restaurant had some daily variation with some themes days in between. The quality of the food was always great, especially the local vegetables and meat / fish on offer. Do try the Flavor restaurant with the wine pairing if you can, it's a great way to get away from the chaos that buffets can sometimes be. We loved the onsite gym which is on par if not above some dedicated gyms in terms of equipment variety & quality. The fitness activities are also great! I can recommend the bike tours offered by the hotel, the mountain and road bikes they have are very well maintained and even for me at 2.07m tall there was something available. Give the archery course a try! Hendrick did a great job at explaining everything and helping us improve over time! Hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful any time of day and no matter the question. The guest service will try to accommodate any request you might have. Overall we loved our stay at Candia Maris and will definitely come back next year for another relaxing holiday.

Location is very good. Staff is really lovely and helpful. The view from the bar fantastic. Kids loved all the amenities, and the animation team rocks!

We took all-inclusive with our 3yr old. The food was ok, lots of varieties and different meals, one soup per day, salads and sweets. The fruits could be better and probably more available at the pool bar for eg. Staff is great, also the hygiene. The room is cleaned every day and they change towels and sheets regularly. Everything is super clean. The location of the hotel is great, next to the bus stop, and going to the Heraklion is super easy, there are buses every 10-15 minutes. Even visiting Knossos is super easy. The beach is close and there is a beach bar with sun umbrellas and beds, free of charge (only drinks to be paid).

We had an amazing stay at this hotel in Crete. The rooms were clean, comfortable and with beautiful views. The food was fresh and very tasty, with lots of local options. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the island – we would love to come back!

Everything was perfect. Exceptional food. I didn't make an a la carte reservation because the main restaurant was great. Lunch and dinner with seafood, fish, gyros, pork, a lot of good salads, fruits, deserts, pizza & pasta are cooked there..... The two bars are perfect and with friendly staff. Beach bar is very relaxing. SPA - perfect (not very big but with all you need) The sea is almost with you, so close. Our flight was late, we vacated the room at 11 o'clock, but until the evening we benefited from all the facilities.

The resort was great. Our room had a spectacular view to the sea. It was a spacious 2 bedroom apartment with a brilliant shower and balcony. It was an all inclusive package providing breakfast, lunch and dinner, with snacks and drinks throughout the day. The food was very good, with specialty dishes changing each day. Pools were spacious and clean, and you also had direct access to the sea from the lower pool area.
